Only 2 weeks wow I had a GPS in 2000 and the recovery time was 6 weeks to return to a regular job.

Are you having it done by scope? or do they have to open you up? That there would make a big difference as well.

But I think its going to have to do with a lot of things like how fast you heal, and if you have any complications.

Good luck to you!

Re: GETTING READY FOR SUGERY

I am glad you can get the scope they had to open me wide open.
I would be glad to chat with you sometime I remember how scary it was facing the surgery. my user name for yahoo is buxkinerswife

Its been a really long haul for me. I had it in my head the surgery was a cure all and as you will find out here its not. Most of the time its not even the right thing to do. I had a fast loss I went from about 432 to 270 and then when I could eat regularly again I blew it and put on almost 70lbs. At that time I knew I had to do something but figuring it was that something went wrong with the surgery I went back to the surgeon. Well I found out that no everything was still fine and my new tummy was the size it was suposed to be that I finally had to take a long look at what I was doing. Then I had to figure out how to fix it.

I was going to write this before but I didnt want to scare you or anything. And I still hope I am not scaring you. But you do need to know that its going to take a lot of work and hard work and lots of changes to get that weight off and keep it off even with the surgery.

I really didn't think that I thought I was going for the easy way but in the end I found out wrong. And I hope I can help spare you from the disapointment and heartache it can cause.

Two weeks for a physical job? No way, this is something you are best talking to your doctor about. Welcome to the board!
