Yesterday I bought the Wii console with the Wii Fit. People, that is amazing! I am very enthusiastic about it because I'm so lazy to do exercise, but with this I feel I am having fun.

Rock -- LOUD -- helps me exercise. Try to sit still during the Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive" or...a hundred of 'em. Great music really gets ya moving, I've even noticed at the office on Fridays when we can have the radio or CDs on, everyone's more jouncey. Jumping up & down. Boogying between cubicles.

I love the Wii Fit, such a great gaming system. Who thought losing weight could be so fun! It's a good compromise since most kids don't play outside like they used to.

I'm so glad to hear this. My son is moving back home with us this weekend (after 2 years) and bringing his Wii with him. I am excited to try it out. Our treadmill is on it's last legs, and I'm not much for walking in cold weather.
Haven't posted for a long while, but I'm starting to gain my weight back, so have to start checking in here again to stay motivated to lose.

Good for the kids, but the platform is too narrow for my wide knock-kneed stance, I think. Any wide-loads like me tried it? I cannot touch my feet together while standing (and not because of leg fat, because of my hereditary knock-knees). There's about a 2" gap, so to stand comfortably, I'm usually standing with legs farther apart than most.

I like the Wii Fit a lot. There is another game that works with the Wii called "My Fitness Coach". It's a step up in intensity from the Wii Fit. I alternate the two. I enjoy the variety. Good luck!

There is a Gillian Micheals WII workout too it uses the WIIfit board as well but you dont have to use it. I've only done it on easy so far but I'm enjoying it. I switch out between it and WIIFit and My fitness Coach and I'm sore from it. So it must be doing something for me.

This is a great idea for losing weight.
I'm sure it's common sense, but the more you like it,
the more you'll stick to it.

I bought the Wii recently and the Wii Fit just might have to be next. I get so bored at the gym on the treadmill. Even when I listen to music it gets boring. This just might be the thing that gets me motivated. I have put on some weight since the holidays...cold weather makes me blahh!!!

I try switching it up when I can to reduce monotony. I'll even go for a jog outside, hit a punch bag, play sports, find SOMETHING else to do every here and there to break it up. I too get into a habit of getting bored.
My gym does have TVs though which is nice, so I can watch while I go at it. Helps a bit.

I find that movies help me zone in on something other than what I am doing as far as fitness goes. I get so caught up in the movie, 45 min goes by and I don't want to stop. The gym I use has a Movie room it is awsome.

Though I could see people not working out as hard as they normally would if the movie wasn't on because they're so into it.

i play DDR xD! that game rox | I second this! Its an extremely fun game, and even if you're at an easier difficulty it still gets your heart rate up.
My family at home has a Wii, and theyre looking into getting Wii Fit. No one except my little sister is a particularly healthy weight (she got that way with DDR!), and we're northerners living in the south... the heat and humidity still bother all of us. Walks outside typically ended up with us breathing heavily VERY quickly because of the density and humidity.
Though its not traditional exercise, its still enough to get you moving, which is good.
