| What I learned from a kids show
Not quite as successful at loosing weight this week, but I got nobody to blame but me.
I was watching a kids show with my daughter this morning called Lazytown and the bad guy was working out a bit a failing and I caught myself thinking “I wish I had the time to workout like that, I wouldn’t fail.” Then it hit me that yes I have been doing the 10 minute trainer and Yoga but my attitude had changed from the first week of 10 minute trainer (this is only week 2 by the way) the first week I had drive and got up every morning and work at it because I wanted to but sometime this week my attitude changed to I am doing it because I have to and it was no longer fun, I had missed the morning workout and forced my self to do it in te evening but it was work not fun.. So today, after I’m done here, I am off to do the abs section and I want to do it again.
Along with that attitude change somewhere in there I realized I stopped paying close attention to what I was eating and how much. I kept that part up for a good month prior without much problem but this past week my attitude changed and I didn’t realize it. I went form doing this because I wanted to I was doing this because I had to (like a job).
I got to watch out for that little attitude change in the future. It appears to me more attitude than anything, at least for me.
Well I am off to do some abs work, some Yoga and then have fruit for lunch, with a piece of toast.
Later

Attitude is everything, and it helps to have that motivation. It's hard for me too....but at the end of the day I look at it like an investment in my future. I want to live longer, feel better (more energy), look better, and all that. My motivation is my life, which is more important than anything else right now. After I get married and have kids someday, my priorities will shift to them, but I will then be working out/eating healthy for them too.

that is a trap i have found myself in. attitude and motivation are so important. on my two year journey i have had a number of pitfalls where i realized i too was looking at my weight loss like a job. i've found remembering my happy moments, like when i realized i needed to buy new pants because the old ones wouldn't even fit with a belt, helps to keep thinking in a more positive way. good luck to you!

| Re: What I learned from a kids show Attitude is apparently just about everything for me and of late it is not good but I keep on plugging away. If I can't get the whole workout in first thing in the morning my attitude is not good the rest of the day and it is really hard to get myself in the basement in the evening to do the workout but so far so good I have been able to force myself
