Oh wait....
I already did that.
And I already called it stupid.
This above statement of yours is like telling an aeronautical engineer that a great plane has no wings. They understand the concepts of flight and realize, without trying it, that said statement is stupid.

Sometimes I even cut a strawberry in half and put that in my water.

For starters, amino acids in protein build the protein in muscle, blood, tissues, hair, skin, and nails. Muscle growth and tissue repairs that accompany exercise require protein. People who don't eat enough protein will feel weak and lethargic and will be more susceptible to getting sick. If enough protein is not taken in through eating, the body will use protein from the muscle mass to meet its energy needs, leading to muscle wasting over time.

You make me confused we are giving high protien diets next day too and that's how we are balncing proteins also.till date i didn't seen any case of muscle wasting. and sencond thing any how if you want to give weight loss to any body you have to cut the calories from maintenance only then you can burn out reserv fat.

Some days there are no proteins in the diet. Just b/c the next day is high proteins doesn't mean the net net result is normal amino acid intake. Quote: |

| Not sure where this came from.
But that's our point. What's the point of doing this crazy pattern of macronutrient intake when it's much easier to eat a balanced diet while controlling total energy consumption?

Its terrible. I hardly ever get thirsty. That is one major thing I need to improve on. Oh, and I am hungry.
Ok...posting on topic now. lol Does anyone else use the I can't believe its not butter spray? It doesn't have any calories or fat. I wonder if it is unhealthy but I know that sometimes when I am really hungry I toast a piece of low cal whole wheat bread, spray er down and then put my mix (in a salt shaker) of splenda and cinnamon on it. So I am adding tons of flavor w/o adding any extra calories.
Oooo one worth mentioning imo, are the Ziplock steam bags!! I absolutely love them. I mentioned in my introduction that I live in a 5th wheel camper b/c I travel and so any time I can use the microwave to cook it is a big plus. I bought a box of tilapia fish and I throw a fillet in the bag, spray a bit of my butter in there and then sprinkle some salt free Mrs. Dash (like either lemon pepper or garlic and herb) in there and its done in 3 min. I even made a desert in one. I peeled 2 apples and put them in the steam bag with a bit of Splenda brown sugar and cinnamon, steamed it and then sprinkled a bit of granola on top, served it along side a serv of fat free sugar free vanilla ice cream. Now of course that doesnt get done very often but it is much better than me getting weak and driving to Dairy Queen for a sinful blizzard that has absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever.

I leave it to Mother Nature who knows best how to take care of our bodies. My job is to support her.
I'm a big fan of natural foods:
- raw fruits & veggies (you can eat as much of this as you want)
- grain fed beef, wild-caught fish, free-range chicken
- whole grains
I stay away from:
- prescription drugs/pills
- artificial anything
- genetically modified foods

Thank you D-Nuck. I try to keep as many foods clean as I can but sometimes you just have to have that extra flavor and don't want to pay for it on the scale! I agree about the cancer thing but you know, maybe since I don't eat many processed foods with additives I can get away with a scarce few. Have a great day!

Groundhog,
I don't want to look at myself in the mirror let alone take a picture to remind me of how I look. LOL
Any tips on how to get rid of that belly roll. I never had a stomach until after my last preganacy (third) and now I can't seem to get rid of it. I lose weight but my stomach is still flabby not to mention the love handles.

| Re: Weight Loss Tips - Starting off? Here's my tips, add yours!!! I really agree that more fluid intake is the key. I try to drink at least 2 qt. water/day to help with digestion. I'm not sure what's the correct amount to drink but my pee (MikeB) is clear. I also try not to count calories. When I did, it drove me crazy and I had no way of weighing my food since I do not own a food scale. Is it really necessary to weigh your food? Here is what I try to stick to per day: 2 qt. water or other healthy fluids 3 to 6 vegetables 1 starch 2 meats 1 red meat (1 time each week) 2 fruits 2 dairy 1 bread At the beginning it was hard because my body was use to eating more but I am getting better with it. I also have tried to cut out sugars and sodium. I will continue to monitor my eating habits with my meal log to keep me on track until I reach my desired weight.

No need to weigh your food, just understand serving sizes and you should be pretty close. It's not hard at all to count. After a while you start memorizing things and can add in your head. That's where I"m at. My only recommendation to you is that it seems you could use a bit more protein in your diet (depending on how much you get a day), but other than that it looks good.
