i seen a post here somehwere about a vegie burger couldnt remember where i had seen it but anyways if your not a big fan of them try the boca vegie burger they taste awsome my hubby hates vegie burgers but loved this one

Yeah they are. we cook them on our electric grill just spray a little olive oil on the grill so they dont stick and sometimes add some mrs dash for extra flavor they are good with grilled onions too....man I'm making myself hungry again

Morningstar Farms Garden Veggie burgers are very good. I have one for breakfast on a pita sometimes. Lots of protein and low carbs. And On my particular renal they're okay for me to eat.

When homemade is all that will do...
Vegetable and Egg Burger
Serves 4
2 cups steamed (until soft) vegetables (yams, carrots, red cabbage, green beans and peas work best)
2 eggs
¼ cup wheat germ
¼ cup raw whole oats
1 garlic, crushed
1 tsp celtic or sea salt
1 can wild salmon (optional)
Mix all ingredients in a blender except canned salmon.
Add in canned salmon and leave in small chunks.
Form into patties
Melt 1 tbsp coconut oil in fry pan on med/low heat
Grill burgers for about 10 minutes per side (until egg is cooked) | |

When you all eat burgers do you eat it on a bun, if so what kind? I know they make whole wheat buns now for burgers and hot dogs to.

I usually dont eat my Boca burgers with a bun. I just eat the patty and some veggies and some cracker chip things. If I do happen to eat out and get a burger or a grilled chicken sandwich I only eat half the bun and dont get fries.

That the way I eat my burger without the bun. I make it just like a burger with the tomato, lettuce and onion and put mayo on it and eat it like that.
I am following the Atkins plan so this works great for me.
My clothes are beginning to fit looser now, so I know my weight is coming down. I know I have already lost 30 lbs. but think I may have lost more by now but I don't weigh myself to find out. I will let the nurse weigh me when I see my doctor again on July 8..

I do the Zone diet and eat my burgers like SunShine does, no bun.

I too love the morning star veggie burgers, I make them at work and everyone time at least one co-worker stops by the kitchen to see what's cooking, no one will try it but all agree it smells great! I think they taste better than they smell! I eat mine on an alternative western bagel, I find them at Publix, with fat free cheese. Yumm!
