| Ok would really like to lose some lbs quick.... Well not super quick. but somewhat quick would be nice. I just went to the grocery store and bought supplies for beef kabobs and chicken pitas and such. Trying to start a workout routine...but that is hard too.

In any situation, if you want to lose weight, you need to make sure you consume fewer calories than you expend (burn) in a given day. Exercising will help you acheive that calorie deficit, fuel that weight loss. If you're looking to lose weight quickly, I suggest you incorporate exercise into your lifestyle as soon as possible.

It seems as if you are a little unsure about the exercisde component. If you really want to lose the weight quickly, you are going to have to introduce exercise into your life. Use hubby for motivation to get you going!

If you are willing to be very strict with your eating habits and push yourself with exercise, there is no reason why you couldn't lose an easy 12lbs or so by the beginning of September.

Yup we are trying. I have had a pear, veggies, turkey sandwich on whole grain and a "breakfast bar" that is all.  Then dinner will be a low fat chicken pita

That should put you around 1000 calories or so? Nothing wrong with wanting to look good in their suits, I know I'd love to look better.

Yes that is me in my pic. LOL Thanks I really want to lose this weight and look better. Yeah I am not sure on the calorie intake numbers.....

I will start doing that. I think it looks to be "now" an average of 1500 or so. I know I was above that before probably last week.

Some people here like to keep a personal journal/blog in the blog forum of all the food they eat, exercise they do, and the results. It will also allow people to make suggestions and support you along the way! Something to consider.  1500 calories sounds like a much better number.

Yeah 1500 i can shoot for. So far today I have had about 640 calories. Not bad I guess. And home to have chicken ceasar pitas.

For example, you could make a meal a lightly seasoned chicken breast with veggies, maybe beans or something else. Skip the baked potato.
We also have about 1000 recipes in our Atkins diet section, and all of them are low in carbs. You may want to give those a try.
Since he lifts weight he should also consider a low calorie protein shake to supplement his routine and eating habits.
