Help please! | That's a lot of weight to lose in just 32 days. If you are really serious about it we can get you close, but it's going to require you to write down and keep track of the calories you are consuming, and for you to exercise as well......do you think you're up to the task?
If so, I can tell you what to do...but I'll need to know your age, height, weight and sex. To do some calculating of how many calories you need to eat. I'm going to move this to it's own thread so I don't hijack this one.

| Re: Need to lose 16lbs in 32 days Honestly I don't think that it is possible to lose so much weight in such a short period of time. But you could try it of course and I am sure that we all would like to give you as much advise as we can. But first of all you need to tell us a little more about yourself and what you usually eat a day! |

Along with exercising hard for at least 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week, and if you count your calories and eat about 1200 calories a day (doesn't have to be exactly 1200), you can lose about 3lbs a week, which should get you right around your target. I recommend writing down the calories that you are eating each day so that you can better monitor what you are eating, and remember, that the calories you are eating is based on a portion size, so if you eat 2 servings of something, you will have to record double the calories on the package.
Make sure you cut out sweets, soda, candy, fried food and all junk food in general. Also try to drink a gallon of water each day, as that will help you achieve your goals. Eat slow, chew slow, take your time eating. If you eat too fast, by the time your brain realizes that you're full, you've already overeaten.
Be sure to let your mom know what you're doing so she doesn't think you're acting abnormal!

| Re: Need to lose 16lbs in 32 days I'm a track/cross country athlete and I actually GAINED weight this cross country season because I didn't eat very well, I use cross country just to stay in shape and that didn't work very well for me this year. I'm strongly competetive in hurdles for track, and this year at my highschool I'm one of only 3 female hurdlers on the team, and the only underclassman female running hurdles this year. I need to lose the weight to get faster and to be there for my team.

| Re: Need to lose 16lbs in 32 days I have to say that if you're doing enough exercise your intake if half way decent should stay the same. My son has lost 5lbs this week by just upping his intensity at his two wrestling practices per day - total of 3.5 hours a day. The harder you workout the more calories you burn. Be aware he doesn't drink anything but skim milk and water and eats a good balanced diet. He has to hit a 175lb weigh in for Friday night in Texas for a wrestling meet.
