never a sitdown lunch either so I guess my eating habits suck! I have a 4 yr old at home and 3 in school, so I do cook a dinner every night and our snacks are healthy too. I drink water and at night will have a beer or 2
I had started drinking a big cup of coffee (sweetened) or I couldnt drink it...but just one to help me get moving. I have started taking the zylen and i didnt feel so good bc of the coffee high and that pill.
I wish someone would just TELL me this is waht you eat yadda yadda and do this much workout and stop doing this. yea I really need a coach bc my motivation stinks! my husband wont push me...wish he would!

What do you usually eat at lunch? How much water do you drink? Cutting the two beers out of your daily routine will help you lose 1/2 a lb a week.
I can absolutely help you figure out how many calories a day you want to eat in order to achieve your weight loss goals! All I need to know is your height, weight, age, and how often a week you exercise and what you do.

I use the treadmill 3 times last week for 25 minutes (I moved my arms simulating dumbell pushups or tricep and pumping them) I gained this weight in one year...put it on fast in the begining, I did become more sedentary and very depressed. I am usually an outdoor girl...I havent felt like that all year! I am ready to live again!

| Re: need a kick in the butt Hey Kat, for one thing your way too hard on your self, your doing a good job working out on the treadmill, trying to find a plan, joining in on a weight loss forum, wow, I could only wish for a client like you! Your first plan is to start keeping a journal on your goals and keeping track of everything you eat as much as possible for your busy schedual, Get registered on mydailyplate.com or any calorie carb counter, and watch those calories. I too take Zylene in conjunction with Lots of healthy snacks and munching on the crunchy vegetables, all thru-out the day. Remember you can not go hungry for too long or you will slow down and stop the metabolism. breakfaast is essential even if it is just a banana with orange juice and wheat toast.
Studies have shown that small quick work-outs all thru-out the day are more effective then one 30 minute work-out. Oh and remember the healthy fats like olive oil, almonds are extremely beneficial for keeping belly fat at bay. Fat burners are also found in your hot pepper flakes and any type of hot spice so spice it up! Let me know if you would like some meal planning info I write articles all the time for my clients.

I find that very hard to believe, as you can't even get into a cardiovascular state until about 20 minutes of continuous exercise.

If you want to lose 1lb a week, shoot to eat for 1500 calories a day on average. To lose 1.5lbs a week, shoot to eat about 1250 calories a day. I don't know if I'd go much lower than that if I were you......

No Time For Daily Workouts Anymore
Will working out longer, but on fewer days a week, still give me the same results?
by Martica Heaner, M.A., M.Ed., for MSN Health & Fitness
The super-long sessions could give you a false impression that you’ve lost weight if you sweat profusely. Being dehydrated can seem like pound or inch loss. Chances are, though, this is only water loss and not permanent.
Working out more often might possibly lead to more fat loss. There is one school of thought that suggests exercising more frequently revs up your body’s engine more often. If a workout is intense enough, you can create a more frequent afterburn, where you use up extra calories during the hours after the workout. So exercising frequently keeps the motor running, so to speak. In contrast, long lulls between sessions, no matter how tough they are, may put your body into sleep mode and make you more prone to conserve energy. End.
*******************************************
This is not the actual article I have read, but this is my point, I was able to rev up my metabolism at different times of the day keeping my metabolism working longer with small quick work-outs of 15 minutes thru-out the day. It seemed I got really addicted to keeping myself moving and the pounds seemed to melt off. I tried the longer stuff, just got sleepy, hungry, and discouraged .
I can't keep up a longer routine of 30 min.because I have chronic anemia due to hypothyroidism. So It really helps to know what works for you. I try to keep my clients munching and moving with easy tips that they never thought of before. I have worked with the obese, they do not go to gyms believe me.

I cycle 1 mile (uphill the whole way ) to work, and 1 mile home (downhill ) and use a rebounder for 30 minutes when I get home.
So all in all I have 3 sets of exercise Mon-Fri. What can I do in my office to rev up the motor? As I am tied to the phone most of the day.....
Any suggestions? |
