Fasting for a short period of time is not something new. A lot of cultures even religions practice i. I guess the question is, then what? I think long-term eating habits is what really matters. A little detoxification (if it really occurs) won't save you if you go back to excess calories and artificial food.

not only is starvation harmful but...unappealing! food is wonderful, that's why many of us had an issue in the first place.

Re: Lost 20 lbs.In 10 Days

Fainting...definitely not good. I found my eating plan when looking for a way to lose weight and get healthier, and at the same time improve my daily low blood sugar symptoms. The daily cycle of my hypoglycemic symptoms was interfering with my daily activities. Those symptoms have been a thing of the past ever since I started the Zone diet. That was 13 years ago. I'm happy to say I acomplished all 3 of those goals and then some.

Re: Lost 20 lbs.In 10 Days

here's the technicals on 20 pounds in 10 days.

let's say there's no water loss....
20 pounds at 3500 calories/lb fat = 70,000 calories

over a 10 day period, you will have to burn 7,000 calories - obviously a joke.

let's say you had a 10 pound water loss so you really only burned about 35,000 calories...

that's 3,500 calories you need to burn a day.

this could be possible provided you dehydrate yourself, starve yourself, and are out hiking through the mountains on some sort of survival reality TV show.

nope, me thinks the original post was B.S. anyways.... or a mere lie.
