Lindora
I just started at the lindora weight clinic on saturday. so far the last couple of days have been great. the first phase was the prep phase, you eat three regular meals and three snacks. today I started on the protein phase, you have three protein meals (egg whites for breakfast, 2 1/2 oz of tuna for lunch, and 3 1/2 oz of chicken for dinner, along with three snacks in between). also you drink 100oz of water, take multivitamins, fiber, omega 3 and 6, essential fatty acids.
has anyone else here tried this program? a friend of mine lost over 80lbs in just 6 months.
cant wait to be fit

It sounds great and simple to do. But the patience is an important thing! Do same thing day by day, just it!

That's a great way to go about it, in small increments!! Good for you! 25lbs should be cake! Any timetable for the next 25lbs?

Re: Lindora
that's an excellent plan userid's. 25 pound incremnts is a great way to go... small steps...
25 pounds might be easy in the first month... but as you progress, it might take several months to shave off 25 pounds as your weight decreases. why? because as you weigh less and less, your base metabolism drops as well because it simply requires less energy to move around your body's weight.
good luck - i'm right there with you.

Please don't take what I'm about to say as negative you have made incredible success in what you have done so far, but I would be concerned about the diet they have you on for a couple reasons, the first being the word diet itself because the program is not about changing your lifestyle, nobody can reduce there carbs for ever, and that brings me to my second point which is in the diet plan you talk about there are no carbs thats not good there are good carbs and bad carbs and your body needs carbs when studied physiology my professor used to say that "fat burns in the flame of carbohydrates" its how your body fuels its self. Like I said good job on what you have done but I was in the health club industry for 15 years and I never saw anybody that lost weight by cutting carbs keep it off, including myself. This emoticon has nothing to do with this post I just thought it was funny

Some would disagree, especially if the carbs being cut are simple low glycemic carbs. I cut out carbs from my diet and upped the protein and I did lose a decent amount of weight myself when I first started eating healthy in college.

your right it can work to a point, I have done it myself, but a person would have to increase there exercise when they add some carbs back in to their diet or they would just gain the weight back, I think that to be successful a person needs to learn the difference between good carbs and bad, I'm talking about taking the weight off and keeping it off for good

Re: Lindora
I do 3 days with less than 100g of carbs per day and then 1 carb loading day then 1 mid carb day then back to 3 more day of less than 100g of carbs. If you're not exercising you could extend those no carb days for 4-8 days but you'll want to carb up eventually to keep away the binging desires along with replenishing your glycogens. Works great for me and let me get past my 225lb barrier and break into the 21X's.

Re: Lindora
60 more pounds to go. I no longer need to follow the lindora plan, I have been off it for a couple months now and I'm still loosing weight with just eating right, exercising and drinking lots of water!

Re: Lindora
I've been eating "in the Zone" for over 13 years. It's a lower carb way of eating which you can continue for the long term. I lost 100 pounds during the first 1 1/2 years of eatgin this way, and I've kept it off ever since. With the Zone, a person eats the amount of protein to sustain their specific muscle mass at their current activity level, not more, not less, and balances it with lower glycemic load carbs and a little bit of monounsaturated fat. You're not hungry, feel great and have tons of enegrgy. My entire family's been eating this way for years. We love it!
