| Lindora I just started at the lindora weight clinic on saturday. so far the last couple of days have been great. the first phase was the prep phase, you eat three regular meals and three snacks. today I started on the protein phase, you have three protein meals (egg whites for breakfast, 2 1/2 oz of tuna for lunch, and 3 1/2 oz of chicken for dinner, along with three snacks in between). also you drink 100oz of water, take multivitamins, fiber, omega 3 and 6, essential fatty acids.
has anyone else here tried this program? a friend of mine lost over 80lbs in just 6 months.
cant wait to be fit

| Re: Lindora that's an excellent plan userid's. 25 pound incremnts is a great way to go... small steps...
25 pounds might be easy in the first month... but as you progress, it might take several months to shave off 25 pounds as your weight decreases. why? because as you weigh less and less, your base metabolism drops as well because it simply requires less energy to move around your body's weight.
good luck - i'm right there with you.

Please don't take what I'm about to say as negative you have made incredible success in what you have done so far, but I would be concerned about the diet they have you on for a couple reasons, the first being the word diet itself because the program is not about changing your lifestyle, nobody can reduce there carbs for ever, and that brings me to my second point which is in the diet plan you talk about there are no carbs thats not good there are good carbs and bad carbs and your body needs carbs when studied physiology my professor used to say that "fat burns in the flame of carbohydrates" its how your body fuels its self. Like I said good job on what you have done but I was in the health club industry for 15 years and I never saw anybody that lost weight by cutting carbs keep it off, including myself. This emoticon has nothing to do with this post I just thought it was funny

I cut out carbs from my diet and upped the protein and I did lose a decent amount of weight myself when I first started eating healthy in college.
