| Just bought Muscle milk I was told that Muscle Milk is high in protein and has no lactose...which is what we need for my husbad. I LOVE IT. I got the chocolate one and it is ssooo good.
Now be honest is this bad for me? It seems to be sort of high in carbs and calories. But for my husband the protein is good. Since he hopefully will be trying out for the police academy. But for me.....I mean I don't work out as rigorously as he does.

Compared to a protein shake like Nitrean for example which I would recommend more for weight loss: 1.5 scoops of Nitrean will give you about the same protein as 2 scoops of Muscle Milk.....and with less than half the calories and less carbs. Supplement Facts for Nitrean: Nitrean 4.6 lbs - Supplement Facts

I was thinking that about the calories. Geez...... | A lot of shakes on the market are 98% or 99% lactose free. I have problems digesting dairy too however the 1% lactose never bothered me that much.

BTW, I'd have him try the Nectar protein, worse case you can use it. The carb count is so close to zero that I would say that the amount of lactose ingredients would not effect him. Make sure to give him half a scoop in water and try it then a whole one.

| Re: Just bought Muscle milk I am thinking that. I guess he likes the muscle milk. And I will see if money is a bit better for us later this month and maybe I can get some other stuff. But in the mean time....I think the muscle milk is good for him.

| Re: Just bought Muscle milk I've used Nature's Best Zero-Carb "Isopure" protein powder as my late night/evening protein drink. Only about 110 calories per serving, 25g of protein, and ZERO carbs. They also have low carb versions as well. LACTOSE FREE TOO! You only use water to mix. You can get it at any health food store. I buy mine here, I find it the cheapest: http://www.massnutrition.com/categories.cfm?cur_man=NATURE%27S%20BEST
