Hi this morning I had 1 egg fried, 1 piece of bacon, 1 piece of whole wheat bread.
I don't like to eat breakfast but my hubby that never gains a pound always eats breakfast as soon as his feet hit the floor I am not a morning person so he does breakfast. He usually make 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon and 2 pices of whole wheat bread. I told him to much I did to eat less.
Everyone in here is saying that breakfast is important I was not eating it because I would find myself hunger all day. If I don't eat breakfast then I don't eat until dinner.
So I am trying to do what is right is what I ate ok. Do you have any other things that I could eat for breakfast that would be good for me. Also If I did not post this in the right place sorry still trying to find my way around.

Sounds similar to what I ate....I had 2 slices of turkey bacon 1 fried egg....but I used pam not oil...and Orowheat multigrain sandwhich thin plus a cup of light vanilla soy milk all of that was just 322 calories.

I believe so too. It sounds close to what I eat sometimes. I like to eat more that way than w/a bowl of cereal. It fills me up. I use cooking spray as well. And the Sandwich thins are awesome! I LoVE THEM!

Starting the day with protein is going to be a really good thing. I couldn't eat your breakfast of choice because of the cholesterol and sodium. I do egg substitutes and try to avoid bacon, but I will sometimes have some ground turkey in my scrambled eggs. Experiment with what keeps you full and what gives you the most energy for the day.. but don't skip breakfast! You are doing well

I'm not a breakfast lover, either...but I do know when I did lose my weight (a million years ago), I did way better eating breakfast first. My favorite was a bowl of cereal, skim milk and half banana in the cereal. I also like the egg substitutes (what a difference in fat and cholesterol!)...I liked to get two slices of light toast, and scramble "eggs" with low-fat ham. Kind of like an omelet sandwich. I would cut it into 4 wedges and have o.j. or piece of cantaloupe. You can find several breakfasts you really enjoy, which will satisfy you while not making you feel bloated to start the day. Starting with breakfast every day? A GREAT START! Keep up the good work!

Oh...you gotta get your breakfast in there....This is so important.
Per day, you should be eating 5 to 6 times along with 6-8 glasses of water. This will eliminate feeling hungry and binging through-out the day. This method will also increase your metabolism(like crazy). Also make sure that the 5 to 6 meals are less than 300-400 calories each. More proteins, good carbs (veggies) and good fats (olive oil, peanut butter)
As an example, I have either 3 types of breakfasts...
Example 1
Egg & ham sandwich : 1 whole egg, 3-4 egg whites. / slice of ham / lettuce / tomato / onion / mustard and whole wheat bread.
Example 2.
Milk & Cereal : 1 cup of Skim Milk / 1.5 cup of Special K.
Example 3.
Oatmeal : 2 packets of instant oatmeal / approx. 10-15 raisins / teaspoon of cinnamon / 2 Splendas
Hope that helps....Good Luck!

I don't know why, but breakfast seems to be a pretty common tool for people who are losing weight or aren't overweight to begin with. I eat breakfast every day nowadays. I think it probably cuts on the amount of times you binge eat or something like that but who knows. Either way, after you do it for a while you'll always be hungry in the morning.

I hate eating in the morning and never used to eat breakfast. I try to eat it every day now. My typical breakfast is either two pieces of weight watchers bread toasted with 1 tbsp light peanut butter and a tea, or an egg beater omelet with turkey bacon, ww toast and a tea.
Your breakfast sounds like a good start but I would suggest egg beaters substitute or just egg whites.
Wheat toast with peanut butter, fruit and yogurt, or oatmeal are good choices as well __________________ Rather than aiming for being perfect, just aim to be little bit better today than you were yesterday. Matt, I totally agree...our bodies can adjust to what it needs to be healthy....and breakfast every morning is, indeed, something that you end up needing AND enjoying. Kind of like water...I've re-started my water...a real effort for me; however, I know from the past that soon I will (a) stop living in the bathroom and (b) actually NEED and ENJOY my water. In other words, sticking to it will pay off.

Your breakfast sounds fine except for the bacon. Bacon for me is an occasional indulgence...certainly not something I eat every day or even every week or month.

I'm not a breakfast person either...but I've been making myself have something. If all else fails, I'll have a Slimfast and a banana...

If all else fails....get packets of Quaker instant oatmeal, "weight control" variety. Takes 2 minutes to make in the morning and it's very good.

Thanks! But that's not for me...don't like it. Plus, instant oatmeal is a no-no. Regular oatmeal is nutritious, but instant isn't...unless you stick with the regular packages, no added sugar...that's close to regular oatmeal...
This site isn't as hard on instant oatmeal as some others I read (they really knock the instant oatmeal)...but still explains the differences clearly... Is Instant Oatmeal Good For You? | Ask The Fitness Nerd at Answer Fitness
I agree that Slimfast isn't ideal either...but if you're not a breakfast eater - it gets you in the habit of having something in the mornings. Plus, if you're ever 'stuck' for a meal, you have something on hand - might keep you from rummaging through the cupboards and settling for something completely unsuitable.

Plus, if you're ever 'stuck' for a meal, you have something on hand - might keep you from rummaging through the cupboards and settling for something completely unsuitable. | This is why I recommended the Weight Control variety, which is sugar-free. Buy this: Quaker weight control instant oatmeal | Men's Fitness | Find Articles at BNET Quaker, Weight Control Cinnamon Instant Oatmeal | GoodGuide Regular versus instant oatmeal | NutritionData.com Blog by Monica Reinagel, L.D.N., C.N.S.
There is basically no difference between plain "regular" oatmeal and instant oatmeal, nutritionally speaking. The big difference comes from added sugar (and sometimes fat) from instant oatmeal flavorings. Read labels and those are easy to avoid...and definitely more satisfying than SlimFast.

Eatting breakfast jump starts your body for metabolising fats thoughout the day. I never was a breakfast eatter, but now I always make sure I do. Normally, I have about a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese with some fruit and oatmeal. Or I will have an egg, boiled are a good way of cooking them, with a piece of toast with a little jam. Sometimes on weekends and days I'm going to have good workouts I make a breakfast sandwich... a english muffin, egg white, and thin piece of ham, with 1/4 a slice of cheese, roghtly is 210 calories the way I make them and there really good as well.

Hah, I *must* be pregnant because I saw that and my reaction was, whytf is "ESTROGEN" a bad thing? I'm practically made out of hormones at the moment and that's a GOOD thing, means I'm having a baby! Yes, I was offended on behalf of estrogen! :-P
Those Fructose VS Sucrose people are arguing opposite points based on the same information, I just tune it out.
And yeah, eliminating fruit is probably not a good idea, it's a good source of fiber and vitamins!
