Help please, What am i doing wrong.

BEWARE. LONG POST.

I have finished the second week of my diet. The first week I lost a lot of water weight, and was expecting it to go fast, but the second week, I am still loosing about 1 lb a day. According to my calculations I should be loosing about 3lb a week.
I am now 262lb
30 years old
6ft1inch tall
How many calories should I be eating in a day, I have a sitdown job, and am not very active (accept the 3days I spend 30min cardio and 30min heavy weights)

Below I have a complete listing of everything I have eaten, with the date in bold, and the final daily calorie total in bold. There is also a breakdown in my individual servings and what I am eating.

Why am i loosing this fast, and is this too fast to be healthy??

You're average caloric intake here is 1656. Call it 1650.

You weigh 262 lbs.

Let's suppose your maintenance is something like 3100 calories at your size and activity factor.

That's a daily deficit of 1450 calories.

There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat. So you're losing almost a half a pound of fat per day.

This coupled with water/glycogen/waste flux and you're seeing what you're seeing. Are you weighing at the same time each day?

I agree Steve. I have seen people lose a lot of water weight when they first started their new eating plans. Give yourself a few weeks and likely the weight loss pace will slow down.

Sounds good, yes I am weighing myself the same time each time.
And I was at 260 today. (that last weighin was the day before i posted) so this is 2 more pounds in two more days.

Every time i weigh myself, its after my morning slimfast, I drive a short part of my shift (im a driver) get in my shorts, use the facilities and weigh in before workout.

Great, im going to up my calorie intake by 200 calories/day anyway. And when the loss slows down, I will drop it again. Im not wanting to lose fast, I want this to take enough time for me to be set fully in my new eating habbits, before I hit my goal.

I would up that 200 calories a day with protein that's another 50g which will help your body maintain your LBM. I'm also curious as to what your exercise routine is.

The routine is pretty lax actually.

30mins of cardio which alternates between
jogging (5kmph)
Walking at a 12% incline at apx 3.2kmph
Stair machine on a interval preset.
I do one cardio for teh whole half hour, but alternate on different workouts

The freeweights/universal are just low rep higher weights, and alternate between muscle groups
arms/shoulders
Back/waist
legs/butt

Im really just trying to maintain LBM, for my loosing phase. And burn some more calories to help my intake/burn ratio.
