Chewing gum

What do you think about chewing gum? I used to think that it is okay to have a chewing gum from time to time. Especially if you feel like you really need eat eat something. So I guess it is much better than something like chocolate. Or am I wrong? Does chewing gum contain too much sugar?

Re: Chewing gum

I eat it ALL the time, but only sugarless gum. A lot of gum these days is sugarless......and I find chewing it reduces my temptation to eat.

Re: Chewing gum

I'm a huge van of chewing gum. I've been trying to have a piece later in the evening when I start to feel like snacking. You won't snack with gum in your mouth now will you

It's also good to chew while you prepare food, so that you're not snacking while doing that, and you'll get your portion size correct!

Re: Chewing gum

So would you say that I may eat chewing gum whenever I want to eat it? I just have to be aware that it doesn't contain too much sugar?! That sounds great! Finally something which I am allowed to eat all the time without having a bad conscience. Why don't we have more of these candies in the world? :-)

Re: Chewing gum

Yeah of course. And actually I have found out that chewing gum is great against stupid craving. Whenever I feel like I have to eat something I take a chewing gum. It is quite low on calories compared to chocolate or cokkies which I might eat instead of it :-) Hopefully I won't browned of them too fast :-)

Re: Chewing gum

I think chewing gum help us lose weight! Just have one before meal about an hour, so it reduce the appetite, you will eat less!
