Anyone drink soda?

Nothing is better than a litte pick-me-up than a soda that contains a lil' caffeine to keep the body motivated throughout the day.

If you drink a lot of high-sugar content soda regularly, I'd suggest trying to drink diet soda. I used to despise diet soda myself. I LOVE Diet Pepsi now. It give me my 'fix' w/ out the sugar or calories.

Re: Anyone drink soda?

I totally agree with you. I used to refuse to drink diet soda. I thought it tasted watered down. Once I realized how important it was for me to stop drinking so much sugar, I made myself drink diet. I honestly can say that regular soda is far too sweet for me now. All it took was giving diet soda a chance to realize that isn't so bad. Luckily for everyone, pretty much every flavor of soda has a diet counterpart now.

Re: Anyone drink soda?

If I drink soda, it's definitely diet for health reasons. I seem to go in diet binges, where I drink no soda for a few years, and then I drink a lot of diet soda for a few months.

I actually seem to lose a few pounds when I stop drinking diet soda. I could never figure out why that was considering it's zero calories.

The thing with diet, like a lot of drinks and foods out there, is that it's an acquired taste. You have to drink it long enough to start enjoying it.

I use to be a diet soda addict! Now I am a coffee addict! I drank massive amounts diet soda for over 10 years. However, about a year ago i quit cold turkey b/c of the dangers of nutrasweet. It is seriously SO bad, and i predict it will be banned eventually. Do a little research. When I do drink soda now, i drink Diet Rite or Diet Hensens b/c they have Splenda instead of NutraSweet. The Diet Coke with Splenda was disgusting.

So many sweeteners, and just now are groups like the FDA studying them for dangers to humans.

I wonder how thoroughly Coke tested their new sweetner used in Coke Zero, Acesulfame Potassium, before feeding it to consumers.

SheaGrl, is there definitive proof as to which sweeters are bad for you and which ones are not?

Soda is not healthy, but I love this tingly sensation on my tongue
Honestly I drink it only if I buy the case and then when it's done...I take long periods of drinking just juice and water. It's addictive.

You could buy sparkling water, then you would have the best of both worlds!

I drink diet soda because my mom got me hooked on it way back when. I prefer it to sugar soda. Guess my taste buds are warped.

Growing up I used to drink so much sugared soda and diet was the blandest thing in the world. Now that I have forced myself to drink diet, regular tastes disgusting.

Warped tastebuds here too!

Mineral water is awesome. We drink a LOT of that around these parts. I used to drink it back in the day and then stopped. One of my sons got hooked on it and a lightbulb went off. He drinks that more than soda now.

Re: Anyone drink soda?

I myself used to drink tons of diet soda just for hating water now i much rather have water. Since the aquafina flavorsplash and dasani flavors came out i can drink it.bad thing is i got burned out on them so now its plain aquafina for me. i can actually drink it now. guess i just had wean myself with flavors to appreciate good water.
