| Well hello! Hey there, everybody. I'm new to the forums and just wanted to say hi. I've lost over 100 pounds over the course of two years and have dedicated my life to fitness and helping others. I'm a personal trainer but don't hold it against me. I'm here to make friends and help where I can. |

We have a nurse here Yuliya doing some similar studying on her way to becoming a doctor soon....she's wrapping up a biology degree and is big into genetics studies.

It's really new, and isn't a huge income generator yet, but the clients I do have love me and I have really high hopes for it's future. |

well... I know that you probably charge when asked a question but here goes:
I just bought a treadmill and I really want to make it a daily habit. the problem is that i have asthma and a simple thing like climbing a flight of stairs really triggers it. What kind of workout planning would you suggest? I know that I have to start very slowly because of the asthma, but I know that being overweight doesn't actually help either. I really want to build cardio resistance and maybe (just maybe) one day be able to jog for about 5 minutes (at this point, I don't ever dar to ask for more ).
Thats in advance for any suggestion! It will be very much appreciated!!!

You are competent from what I have seen, so what will differentiate you from the rest is the relationship you establish with said clients.
Common sense tells us that training over the web takes a much more keen attention to detail since we don't have the hands-on component the in-person route offers to help us administer advice. I think a lot of the e-trainers overlook this.
I too am in the early stages of getting another website up and running.
Best to ya. |

I'm here to help, I really am, don't ever be afraid to approach me for any thing. If I don't have the time I'll get to it as soon as i can. Tonight I'm hanging out with my daughter and it's very late, but tomorrow I'll be answering your question as well as the one I have waiting in my PM box. |

Best to ya. | I'd say I'm pretty competent .gif) . The truth is, my heart is in this. My clients matter to me and are important to me as a person not just as a trainer. I love what I do, and I'm never satisfied until I've reached the situations full potential. I spend a lot of time with my clients, and a whole lot of time helping people for free with advice and basic guidance as well.
Thanks for the wishes, Steve. If you need any help with actual site design or programming I'm pretty good at it. |

Sounds like me when I first started....
And the good news is it hasn't worn off. I still love training/coaching today as much as I did when I first started.... if not more.
Competence mixed with common sense and the ability to establish and maintain great client-trainer relationships is all ya need. Quote: |

| I built my own a few years back. It was successful 'enough' considering I was just a college student and I was already bringing in some bucks via e-training. That was back in 2001.
This time around though I have a web developer doing our site for us.... that way there's no getting my hands dirty.
I've been told though, that I'm crazy to pay a web developer for something I could easily do myself. What are your thoughts on that? |

I personally, would never play a web developer. I taught myself HTML when I was 10 and built up from there. Even though I could never keep up with a professional developer today, there's no reason you can't go to a site like ibuilt or wordpress and pay 20 a month to get yourself all set up. That's basically what I've done with my site, and I think it turned out pretty good plus I can edit it any way I want any time I want. |
