Congratulations on taking that first step, which is committing yourself to a lifestyle change. Getting your mindset ready is one of the hardest parts, but it sounds like you've begun to overcome that!
I'd love to hear some of your ideas on how you plan on losing weigtht. Eating changes? Exercise? Combintations of both? What is your lifestyle like now? Shouldn't take much work to get you self proclaimed hottie status.
How is the weather out in Las Vegas, nice and cool?

How is the weather out in Las Vegas, nice and cool? | Didnt you just come back from Vegas? Yeah its cool alright...under the AC in the house and office its great.
Anyway, what do i plan. Well. First off, i need to lower my salt intake. Sodium levels are through the roof. So are the carbs. So i plan on eating more whole wheat stuff as well. I cant entirely cut out carbs...one because it isnt that ideal for you and two because i love them.
I plan on exercising but im slowly getting into that routine as well. I dont plan on this being a super fast weight loss as its not for a short term thing. Definitely long term plan.

Definitely long term plan. | Yep I did just get back from there. It's even hotter where I am though. Lowering salt is a good idea, and so is cutting out carbs, but you are right, not completely. What I have done to cut out carbs, is to get low-carb whole wheat bread (45 calories a slice), use low carb tortillas from Mission as a substitute for normal breads/tortillas (they have a ton of dietary fiber and are low in net carbs), and also eat a lot of the South Beach Diet frozen pizzas and lunches. All of South Beaches' items are loaded with dietary fiber and are very low in net carbs. The protein shakes I drink are usually sweet tasting but very low in carbs, as are the low carb Snickers Marathon protein bars, and I find that both help me reduce my craving for real sweets, all while being healthy.
You have the right mindset. This is a long-term committment, not a crash diet.

Hi there and welcome! You have some great ideas so far. The reduction for salt should be good for your heart and bloating. That should help a ton. Going slow, doing some mild changes to start off with should help you stay committed long term. I see a lot of people who try to do a complete 360 all at once and it's just too much for them all at one time. Best of luck with your weight loss program!

Best of luck with your weight loss program! | I think what helps me the most to transition into any long term plan is having a free day. Its usually a saturday when im busy with hair or nail appointments or bbq's. Its easier for me to have that day so that the entire week if im ever craving something i can say "Ill save that for free day." I usually forget what it is by the end of the week anyway. And when i say free day i dont mean pig out but if i want something, i can go ahead and eat it and not feel so terrible about it

You go to BBQs much in the summer? Nothing like a hot BBQ to add to the 110 degree heat.
A few of us actually go so far as bringing our own food to BBQs we go to so we never have to worry about what we're going to eat. It's a bit of a pain but I think it's worth it in the end.

But honestly its mostly for the purpose of lack of time to get enough meals in or a workout. Plus it gives me a chance, if needed, to indulge
