| Serial dieter ready to get healthy! Hello! I am new here and so happy to have found this forum. Like the thread says I am a serial dieter and I am ready to give that up and finally learn to eat healthy and use food for nutrition and not for companionship. So no more pills and powders, ear staples, hypnosis, or starvation. Time to leave the fat life and begin a new and healthy one. I appreciate all the tips, advice and encouragement that I can get. The more support the better! I know I am facing a long journey but I am ready to do what it takes. I dont wanna be the fatty anymore! I am tired of hiding from life and would love to able to live it!!

| Re: Serial dieter ready to get healthy! Welcome welcome welcome! We can help you break that habit, no sweat! What we do here is help you figure out how many calories a day you should be trying to eat in order to meet your target weight. So we'd be more than happy to help but we do need some information from you first, and you have to be willing to count those calories!

| Re: Serial dieter ready to get healthy! Thanks for the welcomes!! As far as my plan goes...well, the only real plan I have is to learn to eat healthy and in the right portions and give up on all the "magic" cures and learn an eating plan that I can live with and not just use to take of the pounds. So far I have thrown out all the junk foods and bought some fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats, etc. Much of my eating in the past was simply eating junk food because it was there and available, not from hunger. I have also began eating breakfast--one of my big downfalls was skipping breakfast and lunch and the overeating at night to compensate. I have also increased my water intake. I gave up soda long ago but I think I replaced the sugary drinks with little debbie cakes! I am also working on becoming more active. This is a tough one for me because I have very much became the fat couch potato and have been just doing what is necessary to get by for awhile now. But I am willing to do what it takes to get the weight off and learn to enjoy life! I have wasted entirely too many years thinking about it rather than doing it!

Great start on getting rid of all that junky food and filling your place with fruits and veggies etc! If it's not there, you won't eat it!
I still consider myself a couch potato, even after I've become way more active than I've ever been. I just don't feel as bad about it if I've already been to the gym that day
