| New From MA, Need All The Help I Can Get Well hello all, i am 21 from cape cod mass. I am a very outgoing, fun loving, life of the party kind of guy. I enjoy things like working on my car, going out with my friends, and just having a great time. There is one thing my whole life that has always held me back and to be quite honestly tortures me on a daily basis. Its my weight. I guess you can say the reason i am over weight is because im lazy. No excerise for me because i dont know what to do and when or where to do it. I need someone to really push me but i have noone like that around. Also my eating habbits suck. I know when i eat i shouldnt or what i eat i shouldnt but i do anyway. Im sick of being the fat kid and am young enough where i can avoid health issues.
I am here to hopefully be able to find someone to help me lose the weight i desperetly need to lose.
Im 6'3 325lbs
My goal weight is 240.
My goal is to be 275 or less by next summer
Well, feel free to say hello and hopefully i can figure out how to change my life to a healthy and SLIMMER one.

Well, feel free to say hello and hopefully i can figure out how to change my life to a healthy and SLIMMER one. | A good start to getting into the exercise swing of things for a lot of people is just to go walk for 20-30 minutes a day. Can you afford a gym membership? If so weight lifting is also a great tool that can help you along the way, as can some of the exercise equipment. Since it's going to get cold there soon I would say a gym membership would be a wise investment.
Regarding your eating habits, I can tell you right now in order to achieve your goals you are going to have to reduce your calorie intake a bit. The more you exercise, the less you have to reduce the amount of food you eat to acheive your goals.
50lbs in the next 9 months should be cake; that's about 1.5lbs per week.
If you are willing to count your calories, we can tell you how much you need to eat caloriewise on average each day in order to achieve your goals. It's that simple.
Welcome!

If that's the case then the biggest change would have to come from eating habit changes. To hit your goals of losing 1.5lbs a week, you'd need to eat about 750 calories a day less than your body burns on it's own. All you have to do is figure out how many calories your body burns each day, subtract 750 calories from that, and that will tell you how many calories a day you should eat on average in order to achieve your goals!

That's usually enough for most people, but for those who want to get serious I can even break it down to how many grams of carbs/protein/fat should be consumed as part of your new eating regimen.
Just say the word and I'll break it all down for you.

| Re: New From MA, Need All The Help I Can Get Simple as can be I say!
If you sit around and get little to no exercise your body is going to burn about 3475 calories a day on its own, and if you want to lose that 1.5lbs per week to meet your goals you need to eat on average about 2725 calories a day.
If you can get out and walk say 5 times a week for about 30 minutes and break a sweat, your body is going to burn on average about 3980 calories a day......and then you could still eat 3230 calories a day to meet your goals.
I can break it down into protein/carbs/fat grams to ideally consume each day if you want, or you can give the calorie reduction a shot first, and then we can work in the macronutrient breakdown of carbs/fat/protein.
I don't want to overload ya too quick.
Remember, it's not an exact science....for example if you eat say 2900 calories on one day, you could eat 2500 calories another day and the those two days of calorie intake would average right where you are shooting for.

thats it. | Water looks good, but you could definitely use some protein. That's all you ate all day? If so that's borderline starvation.
If it's any consolation, most of what I ate today was 4 huge bagels with cream cheese and 3 protein bars. I was stuck at work all day and couldn't leave.
