To further prevent spamming, and to reward our members for posting, we have added a new member group!
In the past, all new members would automatically become registered users, and after 10 posts they would gain the ability to post links to other websites in their posts.
Now, all new members are still listed as "registered users," and after 10 posts, "registered users" become promoted to "veteran users." New "registered users" will have some restrictions placed on them until they hit 10 posts. Registered users have the following restrictions until they hit 10 posts on the message board: - Profile pictures of only 200x200 pixels
- Private Message box can only hold 10 messages, and you can only PM 2 members at a time
- Unable to post links to other websites in their posts
- Unable to host pictures in Obesity Discussion's free picture hosting service
- Unable to rate threads
- Unable to have signatures below posts
- Unable to track private messages to see if they have been read
- Unable to view who is online (guests or members)
- Unable to email members
- Unable to post events in the Obesity Discussion calendar
- Unable to upload attachments
- Unable to post polls (you can vote in them however)
Veteran users receive the following benefits upon promotion: - Profile picture maximum size goes to 640x640 pixels
- Private Message box can hold 50 messages, and you can PM up to 5 members at a time
- You may host pictures in Obesity Discussion's free picture hosting service, and may upload up to 50 pictures!
- You may rate threads
- You may have signatures below posts
- You may track private messages to see if they have been read
- You may view who is online (guests or members)
- You may email members
- You may post events in the Obesity Discussion calendar
- You may upload attachments
- You may post and vote in polls
- You may post links to other websites in your posts

Also, please note, that usergroup's can be distinguished further by the color of your username title. - New members with less than 10 posts will have their names in black font.
- Veteran users with 10 or more posts will have their username be the navy color that matches the website.
- Moderators and Super Moderators will have their username in red font.
- Admins will have their usernames in green font.
The different colors will appear in the "who's online section" as well as in each individual post on the website!

Hi, I'm a newby and not sure how to navigate so just writing this first to see what happens. Anyway I am 68 years old and would like to lose 25 to 30 pounds by June (08) lol because I am going to a reunion to see people who have not seen me since I weighed 100 pounds. I don't want to go there, but would like to present myself at only 125 to 130 pounds instead of my current 155. Any and all support and encouragement will be appreciated. dj191

I'm curious how you have your weight rope showing weight when begun and current weight and ultimate weight goal. Guess I'll learn as I go. Or is there someplace I can read and see how to do all this?
