Hello.....I am a 45 year old woman. I am 5'2 and i weigh 220lbs. I have had 4 kids and i am struggling terribly to try to loose weight. I am hoping that i will be able to find a partner here who would be interested in loosing weight with me. I would like to help support others in their weight loss. Would anyone like to chat with me so we can support each other?

I don't have a plan of action yet. I am working on getting exercise into my daily routine. I am also trying very hard to stay away from my comfort food. CHOCOLATE.

Well just remember dont completely deprive yourself of anything. Just limit how much you eat. When I get my chocolate cravings I only eat half what I want and give the other half to the kids. That way I get my chocolate and there isnt anymore to eat. What kind of exercise are you trying? I started out just mowing the lawn twice a week for my exercise and counting calories. I lost 30lbs doing just that. I started at 265. Now I walk at the park when the weather permits and go to the gym and play on my WII.

You will find plenty of support here and people on different plans but the goal is the same; to be come healthier and to lose the weight.

I am a Weight Watchers member. My exercise of choice for now is walking. I am walking 2 miles 4 times a week.

Welcome, Sunshinekat! You're going to get LOTS of help here...we are here for YOU! I've been only here a tiny while, and I'm amazed at the advice, recipes and encouragement I already have gotten. We all have different "plans", and we have to find the right one for each of us...Weight Watcher, T.O.P.S., counting calories/fats, Low/no carb, etc. We're here to motivate each other. So, it might take a bit, but you'll find your own niche. I personally am not giving up all of any of my favorite foods. Chrisy has the right idea. Take a bit of your favorite foods in moderation. Plan for that bit of chocolate in advance...how much you will have an when. You'll enjoy it so much more when you have it and are still on your plan. Find light recipes that involve chocolate...example, lite chocolate cookies....then divide them up into packets of 2 and freeze the packets....get them out on those days you actually put them into your daily intake. GOOD LUCK and come back often...we welcome you to join our own journeys!

your goal is not as far as it may seem, so yes "it WONT be as difficult after all"

you got this! just one step at a time and you wil be at 145 before you know it
