| I need your help Hey guys,
I am new so firstly I would like to introduce my self. My name is Linda and I live in a remote part of Ireland.
I need to loose 5+ stone and am now ready to do it and that is why I am asking you for your help. I have tried many diets and find that they were not working for me. This is my problem. I cannot eat vegatables - I get sick. Yes physically sick. It must be some sort of mental block I have from a child. I eat a vegatable and then I throw up. Diets like weight watchers / unislim ect all say fill up on vegatables (free food) and I cannot. Thats problem number one and problem two is my time. I live in a rural part of Ireland. I leave my house at 6.00am from work and dont get home till 7.00pm, I then cook dinner, play with my daughter for an hour then I have to put her to bed. At that stage I am just fit for bed myself let alone start doing exercise.
I would really like if someone could give me advice on how I can do this. I am not going to do a food subsitute plan. Its just not for me.
If there is a fitness instructor / nutritionist on this site I would apprechate the help before I go totally crazy

First of all, hang in there and don't go crazy. There is a solution for everything.
The secret to everything is calories in vs calories out. There is no secret to losing weight. Since you can't eat vegetables, maybe just reduce what you can eat. Start reducing the portions. Write down everything you eat. Try FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal. Also, drink LOTS of water. It really helps.
The other thing is that you don't exercise. That is a major aspect in losing weight, but since your work schedule is extensive, what about on weekend? You say that you live in a rural area. Why not take a walk during the day outside? It's better than nothing....
Sorry if that doesn't help. I'm certain someone more experienced will answer too. Everybody here is willing to help out!

Meats? Bread? fruit??
Tell us some things you eat. Maybe we can help more.
Maybe stop frying thing.. instead boil,broil or bake your meat. Find some lower carb lower calories bread, Fruit is good, replace sweets with a piece of fruit. Drink milk? Drink skim milk. I would suggest a low fat cheese.. but that's just nasty
Cut portions like the other poster said.

| Re: I need your help Ok, I get up and have a bowl of porrage made with water and honey a very small bit of milk to cool it down lunch would normally be toasted cheese smabo's and a yougert and dinner is normall. I think in my head I know what to do. I need to stop drinking the coke I have 2/3 cans of diet coke a day. cut down on the bread

ok... so you should start eating fruit. Maybe for breakfast with a yoghurt. If you know what to do in your head, try sticking to it for a week and see the results.

All you need to do is count your calories which isn't that hard to do. What we offer here is to help you figure out how many calories a day your body burns naturally, and from there we can tell you how many calories a day you need to eat in order to achieve your weight loss goals!
