Lightbulb Hiya

Hi everyone
This website seems really cool, I'm glad I found it.
Well, I just signed up with a personal trainer, and am going to start this evening. We're starting with a 6-week fat loss program to 'kick start' the process, and we're meeting 3 times per week. Thats about all I know so far.
see ya!

Personal trainers are a great idea, for the motivation and guidance they provide. Does this 6 week fat loss program consist only of exercise or does it require a change in eating habits too?

Welcome!

It is absolutely worth the money. The problem is most people cannot afford them long term or even at all. If you cannot afford the personal trainer long term, the key coming out of this experience is to set yourself up so that eventually you can continue to exercise and eat healthy on your own. You may want to consider taking notes at the gym (writing down the lifts you do, how many sets, how many repetitions, and the weight you use).

I used to train friends for free. I myself was a powerlifter and athlete in high school and college.

My pleasure! Keep us updated on how things go! I'm always interested to hear what the different trainers have their clients do, both eating and exercise-wise.

Re: Hiya

Thanks, guys!
So, I went to my first appointment today.
It went really well, I think.
We did some weight machines for the whole body, and my new diet's starting tomorrow.
OATMEAL!

That is better than I could have done. I would have downed it like a shot of tequila.

You can do what I do. I make the oatmeal then put it in the fridge. Wait until it cools then put 1cup milk in a bender, add oatmeal, 1 tb all natural peanut butter and a 1/2 a banana, I also use a vanilla whey protein to add 26g or protein to the mix. I do this every morning, quick fast and easy!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Dunno if I'm allowed to sway from the diet though (its pretty strict).
Does whey protein have soy in it?
I think I'm allergic to soy. It makes my throat itchy, which is the most uncomfortable feeling ever.

Whey protein is a pure and natural protein from cow milk. No soy.
