Hi I am new here

Just wanted to say hello and thanks for this board. I am just trying to get back in shape after letting myself go for too long. There is a long history of type 2 diabetes in my family and I want to stop it before it hits me. I carry the typical diabetes gut and I know how dangerous fat carried around the "gut" can be. I also want changes in my physical self to be a catalyst for personal and career changes. I figure as long as I am not dead it is not too late to make a change. Hopefully I can stick to my diet and excercise goals this time.

Hi Lenny! I have diabetes in my family too which is one reason I am trying hard to get in good shape! You are right about fat around the gut, I have read numerous studies on this website that talk about the dangers of belly fat.

Never say it's too late to make a change. It's never too late!!!!! You are so right that losing weight will be good for your personal life and career. We're here to support you on along the way! Keep us posted on your progress!
