Welcome to the site!! We are glad to have you here!
Well first and foremost, we'd need to know how you plan on accomplishing the weight loss, through better eating, increased exercise, or both?
We'd also need to know what you currently eat on a daily basis, including meals, drinks, condiments, dressings, etc. At this point it's a matter of getting your calorie intake where it needs to be for you to meet your goals. Also knowing your age and height can help us calculate exactly how much you should be eating calorie wise.

Welcome to the boards its great to have you join us.
The only way I have found to keep the weight off and to continue to lose is to make a lifestyle change. That means to perminatley change your eating habits . Not an easy task but well worht the efforts. Good Luck to you.

well im 23 yrs old, and my height is 5"6
what i currently eat on a daily basis is tuna fish, sometimes with a salad and sometimes with only corn and tomatoe. I also eat grilled chicken on the weekends, like thats what i ate today. well I use the fat free dressing for salads. I also eat rice, beans, soups, sandwiches, quesadillas (tortillas with cheese), and i eat boiled eggs or cereals for breakfast. well last time when i lost the 50 lbs I started to eat fat free foods and sodas, and as for today i still do, but sometimes i eat between meals stuff that i shouldnt like chips, breads, candy and all those stuff and i know thats bad, but sometimes I cant hold my self, and I still eat them. I think thats why I gained it all back
well i decided to stop eating the chips, and all those prohibited foods
and start eating even better, during lunch i drink ice tea, or sometimes I eat with water, like 3 months ago I stopped drinking soda, any kind, even diet soda, so im happy that for 3 months I havent drink it, but I have to work on my eating habbits. Right now I havent drank a lot of water, so im going to start to drink at least 64 oz a day.
and well i dont exercise now, i used to go walking like back in june, but then I got sick and stopped going, now im better, and i havent gone back, I want to go back walking but im not sure if i can, so if i cant go walking, I'll do some abdominals at home, and other exercises at home like sit-ups, push ups etc.
thats how I thought I should start doing tomorrow

Right now I havent drank a lot of water, so im going to start to drink at least 64 oz a day. | Based on this, some immediate things that stand out are....the junk and soda cannot be a part of your diet. I understand you've gotten rid of soda which is great, but those carby snacks in between meals are hurting your ability to lose weight. If you don't buy them at the store you won't have them at home to eat, right? I know it's hard but this is one of the areas you need to try to control. It's OK to snack/graze, but buy healthier snacks like low fat cheeses, protein bars, beef jerky, veggies, fish, chicken, etc.... I see a lot of foods on their that look like they could have toppings/condiments on them like mayo, cheeses, dressings ,etc. Are your sandwiches/salads/quesadillas getting toppings added?
Ideally, you should try to drink more like 96-128oz of water. 64oz is a bare minimum for a normal person.
Also, remember, fat free isn't always the best thing....fat free foods tend to add a lot of sugar to compensate, and sugar free foods tend to add fat to compensate, etc. Be sure to look at the bigger picture. What's more important is calories.
I see a ton of carbohydrates in your diet, and no so much protein. I think if you up the protein and lower the carbs in your diet you will be much better off. If you want, we can go so far as to show you ideally how much protein/carbs/fat you should look to consume in a given day, along with how many calories to consume each day to achieve your weight loss goals. thats how I thought I should start doing tomorrow | Ab exercises are going to be fairly ineffective for you at this point in time....at this point the type of exercises you should look to do involve lifting weights and/or getting moving, like walking, elliptical machines, etc.
You should get out and attempt to walk again, that will make a big difference in your weight loss efforts.
This is all great info.

thanks for your help and yes I would like you to show me how many proteins, carbs and fat i should consume in a day and how many calories too | It looks to me like you are hoping to lose 80lbs in the next year, so we will shoot for 1.5lbs a week as your goal. This means you need to create a calorie deficit of 5250 calories a week, or 750 calories a day. And by deficit I mean consuming 750 calories less a day than your body burns/uses each day.
First will calculate how many calories a day your body burns at your current lifestyle.
We first try to figure out your BMR, or Basal Metabolic Rate. For women the formula is:
Women: BMR = 655 + (9.6 X wt in kg) + (1.8 X ht in cm) - (4.7 X age in years)
So BMR = 655 + (9.6 X 104.33kg) + (1.8 X 167.64cm) - (4.7 X 23yrs)
655 + (1001.57) + (301.75) - (108.1)= 1850.22 calories a day for your BMR
Based on your activity of none/sedentary, you multiply this by 1.2 to figure out the calories your body burns naturally each day. 1850.22*1.2 = 2220 calories a day that your body burns.
So if that is what your body is burning on a day, and we want to create a 750 calorie deficit each day, that means you want to average eating 1470 calories a day to lose 1.5lbs a week on average.
Based off of this, you should shoot for the following macronutrient breakdown:
120g protein = 480 calories
70g carbs = 280 calories
80g fat = 720 calories
That's about 1480 calories a day, right around where you need to be. Now you don't always need to be exact in the calorie department here.....
If you eat 1680 calories one day, you can always make it up with a 1280 calorie day later in the week. The key is that on average over the long term you are eating around 1480 calories a day. Be sure to write things down so you can keep track!

you're not alone!
my weight experience has been largely (haha) the same.
i've always been overweight, but then about 6 years ago i weighed 190ish (my highest up until then) and lost about 30lbs.
then some personal stuff happened and i dunno, i got depressed/just let go and have gained all this weight.
thats right, in 5 years i gained roughly 75lbs. disgusting, im well aware.
finally, last week, i went to see a personal trainer, and have since signed up.
i plan to lose nearly 60lbs by next march.
i hope i can do it, and i wish you success in your venture as well.

My avg weight as a teenager was 175 to 180 depending on the time of month.
After having kids and lots of health problems I got upto 430 or so, Its really good that you guys are doing this now and not later. I did a lot of damage to my body by letting everything get so out of control its best to avoid that at all costs. I also did the yo yo thing and everytime I got bigger and bigger.
Good Luck to you both.

I know it's just day one practically.
I think a lot of it was covered. I agree, write stuff down, drink lots of water, exercise, eat your food slow, don't allow yourself to buy junk, don't eat out, and premake meals for work and whatnot ahead of time.
Also use motivational tools like us, but put pictures on the fridge, scale next to it, etc. I think this was already mentioned.
I like to buy a pair of pants I want to wear but can't fit in. Motivation to get into those pants.

hi!!
well back then i lost the weigh by eating a lot, but healthy, thats when i started to eat like fat free foods, etc. it was a diet that my aunt gave me because she lost a lot of weight just doing that diet, i was eating like chicken, tuna fish, salads, meat but only 2 times a week, etc... it is a really good healthy diet, but then i started to eat other foods that ur not suppose to eat in the diet, so i started to gain all the weight back, slowly
and well now i still eat foods from the diet, but i dont follow the diet as it is, i still eat the chicken, tuna fish, etc. sometimes i want to do the diet but im afraid if i lose the weight i'll gain it all back, so probably this time i'll still eat some of the foods in the diet and turn it into a healthy life style eating, rater than the diet
and i already started like a week ago and ive lost 3 lbs, and its been a while since ive lost weight!! yay!!
