I am a 27 year old female who is scheduled to have Weight Loss Surgery June 22nd. I currently reside in Florida and often travel to Illinois to visit family. I have a 2 year old daughter and my husband is currently in the US Coast Guard.
I look forward to meeting some of you and sharing our stories and offer support.

Welcome to the site!  I take it your daughters name is Aryanna?  I bet you are very excited and nervous at the same time for the weight loss surgery, but I'm sure everything will turn out great! Just curious, what type of weight loss surgery are you going to have?

I am having Lap Gastric Bypass. I am having surgery at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater Florida. My surgeon is Dr. Ted Small.

Thanks Sass for the welcome. My mom is 5 years post op in Feb. So I know from her experience it is best to have a great support system. So thanks.
William...thanks for the welcome. My husband has been in only 2 years. He is an AET3 (working on AET2 in november) on C-130's.

Actually, he is not a mechanic, a mechanic is referred to as an AMT, Aviation Mechanic Technician. Husband is an AET, Aviation Electronic Technician. He is an electrician who also performs Navagation and Radio duties.
