Hello to all...

Hi, I'm new here. My name is Wai and I'm from Malaysia. I'm joining this forum hoping that anyone here can guide me to loose my weight to an ideal weight.

Welcome nuar y! What part of Malaysia are you from, Kuala Lumpur? We can absolutely help guide you......but we need to know a bit more about your physical stats....how much you weight, your height, male or female, how much weight you want to lose and when you want to lose it by, and how much exercise you get a week.

may stats:
- weight = 198 lbs
- height = 5' 6"
- gender = male

i don't know how much i want to loose, but i target to reduce my weight a bit by end of january 2008.

No problem! I also need to know more about your activity level.....how often you exercise each week, and at what intensity level? After I know that I can help you figure out a good plan.

well... i work in a hotel. i'm a supervisor, so means my work activity are so little. i just walk here and there, nothing much. exercise? i've got no time as for my tight schedule everyday. i start work at 7 morning, ends at 11 night.

OK, based on your activity level and statistics, you burn about 2360 calories a day on your own. If you want to lose 1lb a week, you should shoot for eating about 1860 calories a day, and if you want to lose 2lbs a week you should shoot for eating 1360 calories a day. 1.5lbs a week would be 1610 calories a day. Now you don't have to eat exactly this every day, but this is just an average you should try to shoot for over the long run to achieve whatever goals you set for yourself.

Is there any way you can write down the calories you are eating, making sure you account for portion size and whatnot?

Also, I'm curious as to what your typical meals consist of, as maybe there is some room for improvement there as well. If you want to get really serious we can also help you figure out an ideal amount of protein vs. carbs vs. fat you should try to consume as well.

hello 2 u buddy00

Well... back to my weight discussion. Here’s what I consume everyday:


Breakfast – 4 slice of bread & tea
Lunch – A plate of rice, vegetables, meat
Tea break – Some biscuits & tea
Dinner – A plate of rice, vegetables & egg


To tell u the truth, I don’t know ANYTHING bout calories. Hope u can explain more to me. And thanks so much for helping.
