Talking Hello there..

my name is Jen, i'm 24 years old..and i live in Humble, Texas (a suburb of Houston, Texas). Let's see i've struggled with my weight all of my life really though some people would not have called me super overweight per say. When i was in high school at age 17 i weighed 165 lbs. Then after having a grand mal seizure at age 18 and having another seizure thereafter, i was prescribed Topamax for epilepsy. I then lost 40lbs as a side effect of Topamax (which made me 125lbs and a size 7), and i couldn't drive and didn't have a job so i exercised everyday by riding my bike or roller blading. Now i'm 24 and i can't drive due to my epilepsy and i have gained alot of weight since then. I weigh 200lbs and i'm a size 15 or 17, and to put it simply i'm miserable. I exercise but nearly as much as i should be. I have more health problems then the average person my age but that shouldn't matter really. Most people say that the meds have helped me gain weight (i got put on anti-depressants in 2005) which could be true but whatever it is i need AND have TO lose this weight. Anyways enough of my rambling..basically my goal is to get to 130lbs by Jan 1 of next year...i know i can do it!

There's no reason you can't do it! I'm sorry to hear about your medical struggles.... Have you decided how you plan on achieving your goals? Eating and/or exercise changes? Welcome to the site!
