| Hello, I'm Andre from Paris Hello!
I'm new here, I registered just yesterday. I'm here to share my thoughts and learn from you.
I'm not trying to lose weight, instead I'm trying to gain weight.
I'm currently 116 lbs and I'm trying to reach 132.
It's very difficult for me to gain this extra weight because I only eat healthy and low calorie foods...
Hope to reach my dream weight before the end of the year!
I'll keep you updated
Cheers,
Andre

My height is 1.70m (5.58ft) and I'm 31 years old.
Some years ago when I was young my weight was 132 lbs (63kg) and I was feeling good. Now I still feel good but I find myself too thin

Yes I have consulted a doctor. The reason of my weight loss is that I have crohn's disease.
I don't take any medicine because they are ineffective, rather I control my diet and I have been able to remove my flare ups that way.

I read a book that helped me a lot when I was first diagnosed, it's called "breaking the vicious cycle" from Elaine Gotschall.
This is after reading it that I started to control my flare ups with my diet.
Today I don't take any medicine and I feel very good. Sometimes I even wonder if I still have crohn... When I want to be sure I eat something I shouldn't like a chocolate cake and bam the symptoms reappear

I have put "just" between quotes because even if it seams simple it's not
I'm not someone who eat a lot.
I have calculated that if I was weighting 63Kg (the weight I want to achieve) my maintenance calorie intake should be 1852 calories/day.

Building muscle will help you pack on a few lbs, as muscle weighs more than fat. I would maybe force yourself to down one weight gainer protein shake a day if you're really serious about putting on some weight.

It took me more than 3 hours just to assemble it
I prefer not take any supplement, I really like natural food instead.

I prefer not take any supplement, I really like natural food instead. | That machine is a good start!! Good for you! The main reason I suggest protein shakes is because it's very difficult to ingest enough protein via natural food to maximize muscle growth/prevent muscle wasting.

But I'm going to try to select which food I eat to take the maximum proteins as I can.
For example in 140g of chicken (white) there are about 42g of proteins. Salmon is quite rich too in proteins, in 1/2 fillet (about 155g) there are also 42g of proteins.
I have found a very interesting list somewhere on the net by looking for "list of high proteins food" on google.

I wish you reach your dream weight too. That takes a lot of effort but you seem to be on the right track (according to the ticker in your signature)
I love cakes but I can't eat them
Andre
