| Hello Everybody!!!! It's so nice to "meet" you all. I am a new mom and I am trying to lose my "baby fat". I am looking for some encouragement as it'svery hard to squeeze in 30 mnts of workout during the day because I work full time at a very demanding job. Right now, I am trying to get up early in the morning and catch up on work to allow me to take the 45 mnt break at work for my workout. I also completely cut down on sweets and my only sweet treat is honey bunches of oats as a mid day snack. Hope I can reach my goal

Welcome! 23 lbs should be very doable. Losing the sweets will get you off to a great start, but exercise is very important too. If you can find a way to get your exercise and cut out sweets, that alone might do it! Then again you can always custom tailor your eating habits to help out even more if you would like!
What exactly do you do for a living if you don't mind me asking?

That sounds like a perfect situation! Would you be able to sneak in there during lunch? 30 minutes a day during lunch giving you time to shower might just be what you need!

Good luck and welcome!

I've seen numerous studies that have shown this; I think the average was about 10% more calories burned for the same amount of work by doing it in the morning before breakfast.
Oh yes and welcome!

| Re: Hello Everybody!!!! Early in the morning is not an option for me as I want to spend quality time with our baby before dropping him off at the day care. If I dont do this he gets reeeeealllllllly cranky So I am working out at 4 in the evening for 45 minutes on the elliptical right now and in the last week I lost 1.5 pounds...We do have the same elliptical at home as well, so on weekends I am working out whenever the baby is asleep. I used to jazzercise a lot before the baby and never had a weight problem. For my 5ft.6inches frame I would like to be between 145 and 150 pounds...let's see.
Regarding my job, we build testing software called LoadRunner. I work for HP (formerly Mercury but we got acquired by HP recently)

Perfect! Is it conceivable to exercise before the baby gets up? If not, still, the fact that you have it at home to do in the afternoon is fantastic! Stay persistent with that and the weight will come off! Quote:
