The name is Nick, I joined a few days back, finally got to post. I am a member of vBulleting.org, which is where I saw this site at, and it was a good thing, seeing how Im getting ready to go on my own journey in weight loss

I did vote for ya guys! Seems like you put alot of hardwork into this site, and it should be awarded in one way or another.

And for your other question I have not figured out away, as I am very uninformed about diets, but I need to lose a good I wanna say at least 30lbs.

So not sure where to post about different diets, I do want something that shows rewards fast(who doesn't right? lol).

Everyone wants fast and easy, but that's where most people end up having problems. Fast isn't the answer. What we teach people how to do is to make lifestyle changes, no "diets" which are really temporary solution. We can show you how to lose a couple pounds a week safely just by watching how much you eat. If you're willing to throw a little exercise in the mix, then sure you can lose even more.

30lbs is very doable in say 15 weeks through just eating changes.

Great, of course I will be throwing some exercise in the mix to speed up, it also doesn't help that I work for a company that makes people fat, that being the golden arches, the one and only McDonalds.

Yeah that doesn't help at all either. Exercise would do wonders too.......

So basically what we can help you do is figure out how many calories you should try to eat (on average) in a given day so that over the long run you can lose the exact amount of pounds you want, when you want. So if you say you want to lose 30lbs in 2 months? No problem.

If you want us to calculate this for you we need to know your age, sex, height, weight and how much exercise you plan on getting each week (how long, type of exercise, etc)

Where would I need to post all this information? Because I would love to get started as soon as possible.

30lbs in 2 months? Thats gonna be some rigorous diet and exercising to get that, but nice result though

Age: 18
Sex: Male
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 233

Thanks for the help, for the excerise, not sure how much and such, guess its depending on how much I want to lose and how much work I want to do, to go a bit quicker.

OK Nick,

I'll give you a few calorie options to choose from, and you can choose to exercise more and eat more or exercise less and eat less to achieve your goals.

If you get little to no exercise each week, you will want to eat about 1725 calories a day to allow you to lose 2lbs a week, which will let you hit your goals in about 3.5-4 months.

If you get light exercise in (about 1-3 times a week, moderate intensity), you will want to eat about 2125 calories a day to allow you to lose 2lbs a week, which will let you hit your goals in about 3.5-4 months.

If you get moderate exercise in (about 3-5 times a week, moderate intensity), you will want to eat about 2525 calories a day to allow you to lose 2lbs a week, which will let you hit your goals in about 3.5-4 months.

I hope this helps! If you want to get even more serious I can break this down into ideal amounts of protein/carbs/fat you'll want to consume as part of your daily calories.
