| Hello all! Hi everyone...i figured since I'm a "226lb. fatass" I should join up and see what's going on here...lol. I'm trying to get to 200-210 then TRY to get into some lifting to lose my gut and manbewbies..i wish I started this weightloss earlier in life!!! I started at 320 back in January 2005...down to about 226 now...coulda been to goal a long time ago but kinda took it easy past months...but back on track now.
I'd post before and so far after pics...but can't till I get 10 posts.

Lifting weights/exercising will help you get to your goals quicker, but more importantly will help you maintain the muscle mass you already have. You will be more likely to lose some of that muscle mass as you lose weight without lifting/exercise as part of the equation. Every pound of muscle you can keep on your body will help burn an extra 50 calories a day at rest, which will help you keep the weight off once you lose it.
As far as posting pics, on the toolbar at the top of the page under the VB Image Host you can host your own pictures, up to 50 of them. You'll then be given a link with [img] tags that you can post here. Or you can wait till 10 posts.

Walking is a help for sure, definitely better than nothing.
Getting to the gym is tough late, but it depends on how bad you want it. Do you have weekends off? If you want it bad enough you'll make the time to go. I remember after breaking off a 6 year relationship with a girlfriend, I really wanted to get back into what I call "singles shape." .gif) There was a 4 month period where I was working 8am-10pm Monday through Friday, and I went to the gym about 4 out of those 5 weekdays every week, and worked out from about 10:30pm to 12:00am. It wasn't easy, but at the time it was that important to me.

Hey guys...WAS at a low of 226 back in May/June...started dating someone...broke up with her in October and weighed 257!!!...I'm so angry with myself...down to 249 now..but it sucks that i screwed up so badly...oh well..live and learn...dating another woman now..so I gotta be careful!!
