I did a Google search for "What should I do?" when I was really feeling dejected and this forum popped up! After reading some of the posts I felt warm and accepted and decided to join. I guess the computer answered my question!
Last year I lost 30 pounds in 4 months, then gained it all back by the end of the year. I just gave up trying and decided nothing mattered anymore. Then I was diagnosed with liver and pancreas problems, probably due to the rapid weight loss and gain! Now I have to have surgery.
The connection between the loss and the gain and the damage to my organs has motivated me to try again and get it right this time.
I am going to avoid Atkins, though it was very successful for me in weight loss, it did increase my cholesterol which may have caused the gall bladder sludge which has blocked my ducts. Instead I will try calorie reduction and work on a treadmill.
Having a group like this to share ideas, encouragement, and tips will help me stay on target and not lose hope. This time.
