| hello Hello
I'm 32 years old, originally from Marshalltown, Iowa. Due of not able to find work I end up having to move to Des Moines away from family.
I had the Gastric Bypass 4 years ago. My starting weight was 350, and I'm now at 200.
I haven't been on for awhile here, cause most obesity websites that I have joined, have not been very helpful, for when I needed to vent and needed to ask questions, so I've been scared to say anything for I didn't want to get snapped at.
I'm going in on June 25 for my Tummy tuck with Dr. Franks here in Des Moines Iowa. And I'm scared of the pain. I just hope things will go well for me.
Well, guess that's it for now
Have a great day

Lisa Young | Hi Lisa and welcome back! A little pain at first with the tummy tuck will be worth you being so much happier with the way you look and feel! There will be no snapping at anyone here, we're all VERY friendly. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the Gastric Bypass now that's it's been 4 years (pros/cons)? How are your eating habits now compared to when you first had the surgery?

| Re: hello Hi Lisa. I'm glad you decided to give Obesity Discussion another try. I feel free to say what is on my mind, and hope you will too. I have never had a tummy tuck, but I have had 3 C-sections so I think I know what you will feel post tummy tuck surgery. Yes it will be painful, but you should discuss pain control with your doctor ahead of time. They have pain pumps which allow you to press a button that causes the release of pain medication as you feel you need it. It won't allow you to overdose. The pain isn't gone, but the meds make it very tolerable. You will do fine. After what you have already been through, this will be a gift to yourself. Positive thinking is key to how you will handle the surgery. Best of luck! |
