This is my new motto...
I am going to be 36 soon and I weigh 244....I am hoping that my new motto sticks...I have decided to eat all the foods that I find unapplealing because they all seem to be the ones I should be eating...like veggies...

So if I don't like it...I am gonna eat it
and if it makes my mouth water...stay away from it...

Food is not supposed to be fun....
I will eat to survive and nothing else
I will find other ways to make myself happy...


I know I know...brave words...now ask me again in a week

I do agree with this, that there is a median that allows you to eat some healthy food that does taste good.

could try an eggplant pizza...its yummy you take a slice of eggplant about a 1/2 in thick put a slice of tomato on top and then top it with some low fat cheese and bake it in the oven till the cheese is melted...makes for a great snack or eat a couple for a meal or try making a veggie pizza on whole grain flat bread you can put just about anything on mine i like zuchinii and yellow squash with bell peppers of all colors and mushrooms and tomato sauce seasoned to flavor with a little low fat cheese.....man i just reallized i eat a little cheese on everything....

I have learned to eat broccoli and cauliflower but I would refuse before unless covered in cheese...

Ha...I just ate steamed broccoli today....and no...it wasn't mouth watering...but...it was edible....

brocolli's one of my favorite veggies

it's got a great natural flavor and it doesn't need all that processed food toppings such as melted cheese or mayo. heck, it doesn't even need salt or pepper.

my kiddo likes his with mayonaise. i sometimes ask him if he's topping his mayonaise with brocolli.

Aren't you being a little hard on yourself? Nobody could stick to such a rigid plan. You are setting yourself up for failure, so please reconsider. You shouldn't have to eat foods you hate. There are so many food plans available to you that I know you can find something that will put you on the right track without having to eat only foods you dislike. Create a healthy lifestyle of exercise, eating in moderation and checking in with your doctor for advice and care. You will be much happier and more likely to be successful. You can do this, it isn't fun at first, but it can be done, and you will reap the rewards of becoming healthy!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the motivation....and yes unfortunately...I do have to be hard on myself...I am a spoiled baby when it comes to food...
before I would never eat veggies or fruit....
I ate junk...and more junk...because that was what I liked...
I can't even name one healthy thing that I like...really...its pathetic..

For me it was a constant mouth party....
So...food will no longer be expected to be joyful...I will find joy other places...I will buy a new book...when I lose some weight..I will be able to sit on the floor with my child...I will play a new video game...I will start my garden...I will dance...

To me...food has let me down with false promises...It has given me instant gratification...but the price is too high anymore...and I am not going to pay it anylonger...
