Subway

Hey all. I was wondering if having one of the 6 grams of fat subs at subway is a bad idea. I was looking at the calories in the sweet onion chicken teriyaki that I usually get when I go there and for 6 inches its 230 calories with the stuff i get on it. Is Subway ok to have once in awhile?

Re: Subway

I don't know if I'd eat it every day, but I think in the scheme of things, with all the fast food junk that's out there, Subway is a much more sensible choice. But everything in moderation, of course.

Re: Subway

I know it's only 7g of fat but how much of carbs? Tbh I think the only thing to do if you really want to lose the weight is stay strong and avoid fast food altogether- the way I look at it is, once you've lost the weight you're going to stick to your new healthy way of eating so best cut out the crappy stuff and learn to live without it from early on. If my husband goes to a fast food joint ( he is one of those annoying people who can eat what he likes and stay slim because of the amount of exercise he has always done), I then go to the supermarket and get myself some salad stuff and maybe some fish or cheese or something to go with it. I make it a real fun experience by picking out stuff and then making it all up at home - it feels so much better knowing I made the effort to do that rather than get tempted by the fast food xxx

Re: Subway

i don't think a subway sub. would be to much as long as it is once in awhile. a oven roasted chicken breast has 310 calories, 48 carbohydrates (g). 5.0 fat (g), and 830 (mg) of sodium. which i think it is to much salt a day.

Re: Subway

yes, subway is OK to have every once in awhile.

you can have a subway every day if you want.

remember, it's total calories ingested - calories burned = weight gain/loss.

if you have 1 subway sandwich a day and nothing else basides drinking water, you'll lose weigth REAL fast....but i wouldn't recommend that tho.
