The owner of ZR auto, Zahir Rana in his yellow Ferrari Enzo and his crew (the same ones doing 200+ mph cannonball runs in Canada posted on youtube) and numerous customers were in Phoenix to take advantage of the great weather out here this time of year. There were 12 exotics in total, including quite a few Lamborghinis, however only 11 cars will make it back home.


During a drive on the loop 101 on the border of Phoenix and Scottsdale, the Saleen TT blew it's motor. The owner stated that this is the 4th motor he's blown in 4000 miles! Zahir mentioned that he tried talking the buyer out of the Saleen S7 TT when he first wanted it, but the owner just wanted pure speed! This car runs the 1/4 mile in the low 10 second range at over 140mph!!! 750 bhp (559 kW) @ 6300 rpm; 700 ft·lb tq @ 4800 rpm. The one thing that surprised was that Zahir though thought the motor was a 7.4L motor...but it's actually a 7.0L motor. All the guys from Alberta were as nice as can be.

I feel horrible that he's paid that much for a car that goes through motors every 1000 miles! He's had problems with both the rods and the pistons. HFor over $550,000, he shouldn't have to deal with all these problems. Don't feel too bad....apparently the owner of the S7 does very well in the oil industry up in Alberta.

Even the Phoenix police showed up to BS with everyone, and apparently the Department of Public Safety (DPS) pulled some of them over a day or two ago, and the entire police force knew about it! They were very nice officers.

They're on their way to Palm Springs in a few days, after hitting some windy roads in Phoenix tomorrow, and after going to Sedona today.

Very expensive indeed, but that is the price to pay for a street legal race car these days. Every part of those cars are practically handbuilt. If I had the money I would own one in a heartbeat.
