Mother kills baby- microwaves 28 day old child to death!

This is unreal! A 28 day old baby, how could she! Brain, heart, internal organs are destroyed from this! It's on CNN right now, the mother is a 26 year old from Ohio.

She's being put up for the death penalty. I hope she fried in the chair.


Apparently the parents took the baby to hospital and played it off like nothing happened. Wife is up on charges, husband is not. Wife admitted to it to a detective.

What is wrong with people!!!!!!!

Are you joking? I cannot believe this even happened. I just hope she doesn't try to pull the post partum depression card and plead insanity and get of like that Andrea Yates did after having her kids and killing was it 4 out of 5 of them?

What a stupid ***** forgive my French. How the hell could she do this? What would possess her to do such a thing. I feel awful for that child, such a torturous way to die.

do you believe this in any situation? even if a girl gets pregnant from rape? or if having the baby will risk the mother's life? or if the baby has a horrible disease/illness and will suffer greatly upon birth? i am just curious if there are circumstances where you are ok with this

Absolutely nightmarish what some people can be capable of
I had a look around and various news reports allude to the possibility of it being a babysitter who actually did it. A version of the story from back in November:

The video link features a brief clip of the woman being interviewed 'days after the death', which seems a little bizarre. The theatrics seem to betray the way a normal person would behave in the aftermath of such a tragedy.
If she has admitted it at this point then she truly is insane. This kind of thing doesn't even compute for me.
