| All I want is one I wish I had a fat friend! All of my friends are thin/average and I have no one that I feel completely comfortable with bitching about fat stuff with. I'm lonely, I guess. I want a fat friend so we can eat Reese cups together. I thought this site would be the solution, but its not the same. I have one sister in the same boat as moi, but she's living at school and so we rarely see eachother. Plus, we have different dynamics in our relationship, like guilt (mostly cos of our mum). Ive never had a fat friend. I need one.
kk thanks for letting me complain

| Re: All I want is one We can take pictures of us eating Reese's cups if that helps! You could always attempt to find someone who fits that mold, or if you end up hitting your weight loss goals you really won't have to worry about this anymore.
Thought I'd throw in a study posted earlier by William Wallace, just for discussion purposes..... about hanging out with thin friends....and how that may be more valuable than you think if you're trying to lose weight. Family, Freinds, Siblings & Obesity
Feel free to come on here and vent about anything that bugs you, that's what we're here for!

| Re: All I want is one I was always the 'fat friend!'
I guess growing up a couple of my friends were overweight, but we never really talked about 'fat' stuff. I find I talk about loosing weight more with my friends now because I'm not so embarrassed about it anymore, and I know more about health/nutrition/exercise.

| Re: All I want is one It may be worth investigating if there are any weight loss support groups near where you live that actually meet up. I do find this site to be helpful but you're right, sometimes being actually in the same room as other people can be a better motivator Quote:

My friends and I used to go shopping when we were younger, and if we went in a large group, they'd yak about clothes, and borrow each others clothes, and I never got to do that because I wasn't the same size as them.
Sorry to bum you out

My sisters and my brother where fat to so I guess I didnt feel like I ever needed that. And all we did was encourage one another to eat.
Now one of my friends gained a lot of weight and is a lot bigger then I am and she doesnt like to be around me much anymore. Guess she liked it the other way to make her self look better,
Sorry your having such a hard time.

Yes they can be but I have learned to look at it like this
I am a good person and fun to be around
so its their loss. And I really dont want to have friends like that anyway.
