| Update on my GBP surgery
Well I am home from the hospital today. I stayed for two nights. Dr. Davis said my sugery went by the book. I didn't even need a drain tube like some of the patients on the show. The first 12 hours post-surgery were pretty bad. I was in a lot of pain, and apparently let the nurses know it, lol. The second day was pretty bad in the afternoon, and it felt like I lost some headway as far as being able to walk and stand up. The second night was great, I was actually able to sleep for almost 8 hours. This was after having been introduced to liquid Lortab elixir, lol. It seems to work better than the IV pain meds. Dr. Davis came back by this morning around 10 to sign my release papers and I was set free about 11:30.
No weight loss yet cause of swelling and IV fluids, but hopefully I'll see some progress soon. I'll keep posting updates. I have an appointment next Monday to meet with Dr. Davis at his office.

I cannot imagine you could lose weight so quickly, however I am sure it will start very soon. I've taken lortab before and it is effective to say the least. What else did they try giving you? What were you given to take at home? Other than pain any other side effects? Looking forward to more updates!

Looking forward to more updates! | He gave me a scrip for 1 pint of the Lortab Elixir, which if taken at the prescribed dosage and on every interval, is enough for about 6 days. But I only need to take it bout every other interval, so it should last a while. It's good strong stuff and knocks me out pretty good, lol. I got 9 pain-free hours of straight sleep last night!
