| This is weird... Just started noticing this today, but I HAVE to keep myself "full" or I start to feel REALLY sick... Freaking weird, cause feeling sick makes me NOT want to eat, but I have to if I want to feel any better. Just have to force down the first couple bites and it's like a complete 180 on how I feel... I had to carry around a pack of Ritz crackers if I went anywhere today in case I got "the feeling". Ritz crackers are about the only thing that really sits well on my stomach...
Is this normal 3 weeks post-surgery?

Is this normal 3 weeks post-surgery? | Kind of a horrible catch 22! Reminds me of having the flu, and not wanting to eat anything, but if you don't you feel miserable.

This part is sooo true you have to sip all day. And the protein shakes ect really help at this stage, Just adding some extra strentgh to what has already been said. All of the above is every important and even if you are cleared to eat something your body may not be able to handle it yet so be very careful at this stage.

hugs | I'm beyond sipping, I can not stand the "thirsty" feeling in the back of my throat anymore. I'm between pureed and soft foods, gradually adding more things. I am so tired of shakes I dunno if I can force myself to drink anymore. I might try the pudding next... Regular sugar-free pudding works well, but I am so freaking tired of eating sweet things. I had some tortilla scoops and fat-free refried beans last night that were sooooo good just cause they weren't sweet.

Remember also when its time to eat try not to drink. I can remember feeling the way you are right now.
Just try to remember that this is a lifestyle change. You will never be eating the way you once did. And take one day at a time. Sometimes its hour by hour at a time,

sure some times its frustrating
but when u reep the rewards of the
huge weightloss it all becomes easier....
the protein puddings are better to use
then the sugar free being its loaded with
protein. PROTEIN is a healing food!
and keeps our tiny pouch fuller longer!
hang in there!

I wonder if eating higher glycemic foods would be of assistance as well.

I still get a twinge of nausea if I wait too long to eat, but it passes and I can keep going, albeit hungry. I'm back to more handleable hunger-headaches at this stage. I've actually had to take Tylenol twice this week for headaches. At least it seems to work, only Advil used to, and I thought I was gonna be screwed when it came to headaches for the rest of my life, lol.
