surgery-yes or no

A few years ago I decided to safe some money each month for a liposuction. I think that I have got almost all the money I would need for the surgery in two or three months. Nevertheless I have got some doubts now. Would you say I should do the surgery? Has anyone done a liposuction before?

I'm not a big fan of liposuction myself....I've "heard of" a few horror stories from lipo gone bad. Besides, it's only a quick fix. If you don't keep up a healthy lifestyle it'll all come back and your hard earned money will go down the drain.

But it's quick!
If just changing lifestyle, and you will get both ages and ideal weight. If I can afford, I will first surgery, then changing my lifestyle!

So you would advise me to do the surgery...mhmm...I really don't know what to do anymore. Some people say I should do it and some people say I definitely shouldn't do it. This is such a difficult decision as I know about all the problems which might occur, but nevertheless it would be so nice to have less fat around my stomach. Well probably I should talk about this to my doctor again.

It's one thing to use it as a stepping stone or in conjunction with eating healthy in an attempt to lose fat, but if you're hoping this change will be permanent without making any other adjustments, then I think you're looking in the wrong direction.

Re: surgery-yes or no

Why don't you use the money for a personal trainer or a nutritionist, or even just a steady stream of healthy food and a gym membership?

I've read some of your posts, Kel, and I really think you could do this without surgery. I think surgery should only be a last resort in emergency situations. If you need any help, advice, or even just a friend feel free to contact me.

Re: surgery-yes or no

Thanks a lot. It feels so go that people really seem to care about you in here. Maybe you are right S. Max Gordon. Actually I have been quite successful on my weight loss (except christmas) and I think I am on the best way to reach my perfect weight (although it is still a long way to go, but I am sure I can do it!). Well, I have been thinking about this surgery theme for about a week now...I think I am not going to do. At least not now.

Quick isn't always best IMO, and I too would wait.
