I'll purchase more chicken breast and fresh fish. I also like conch and shrimp since I have good cholesterol. Just really working on eating healthier all together. COLON CANCER oh boy I did not know this. Ok time to cut back on the beef. Cause I can eat this everyday.
98% lean beef? I can only get 96% lean here. I would love that!

I think your eating habits as they stand are pretty damn good. But yeah, red meat in moderation is ideal.

Re: Red Meat & Pork vs. Chicken, Turkey & Fish

The only time I was able to loose 80lbs and keep most of it off for almost ten years was when I was 19 and joined WW for the first time. Then the diet was pretty strict and I lived mostly on waterpack tuna, hard boiled eggs and green beans. I have a hard time limiting myself to just a little of something I regard as a treat. I have expanded my menu to include most green vegtables but having to prepare meals for my husband and something entirely different for myself is such a chore. I am just not willing to go to that much trouble on a steady basis. I rarely eat bread in any form and don't use condiments like mayo or salad dressing. I feel like my body likes where it is and refuses to make a change. I have been going faithfully to Curves three times a week and doing a 30 minute workout each time. I know I have firmed up some muscle but I haven't lost more than a few pounds which I can put back on in one weekend.

Are your clothes fitting better by chance? If you're working your muscles you could be putting on a few pounds of muscle which might offset the weight lost from fat. There are definitely many more things one can eat than just eggs, tuna and green beans that will allow you to reach those same goals.

Do you have one of those weekly meal preparation places where you live? A lot of people go there to prepare say 5 meals worth of food and can be in and out in like 15 minutes.

Thanks for the advice. I am not willing to spend the money to have someone else prepare my meals. I am a very picky eater although I have come a long way since childhood. I am currently having some major medical testing done as I have a real problem with my back and legs. I had at least a dozen blood tests done last week and a brain and back MRI done yesterday. This morning I am stiff and sore again and my legs want to buckle when I bend my knees the least little bit. I am supposedly in remission from a rare autoimmune disease I developed 12 years ago. If it is back it is major medications time again. When I get some answers about what is currently happening to me I will be able to try and focus on my weight again.

Thanks so much for the compliment. I feel like I'm doing better but still struggling. The weight loss is a bit slow. How can I speed it up without starving or over exercising? Send me a great protien shake I'll send you the beef haha... I can't seem to find something that is affordable, healthy and will ship here. Currently on walmart.com to see what I can find. What's the requirements for a healthy protien shake to lose weight?

Actually, those food preparation places you do put the meals together yourself. They have rows and rows of ingredients/food to choose from, but you do all the prep work. Wow, sorry to hear about these issues. Any results yet from the tests?

I just spent a bit of money on a special chair/stool that helps bloodflow and build your core muscles, which has been a godsend for my back pain which is now gone. It's a bit pricey, but I think worth every penny. Called a Swopper chair. I know it's not quite related to what you're going through but maybe it could help with some of the side effects you're feeling.

Ideally look for something that's not more than 140 calories or so per serving and at least 25g of protein per scoop, that's before adding it to water/milk.

Amazon will ship to you I believe for a fee.....about $10 per shipment + $.59 per pound, so if you get two protein jugs at roughly 5lbs each, your shipping would be about $16. That's not bad.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...?nodeId=468640

Look at Optimum Nutrition Protein, Gold Standard Whey on their site.

Weight loss can be accelerated a bit by either eating less or exercising a bit more for the most part. I'd have to review how many calories a day you're eating at this point and how much exercise you're doing on average to make a good recommendation on changes to make. Let me know what you're doing on average, and how many lbs. a week on average you're losing and we'll go from there.

Re: Red Meat & Pork vs. Chicken, Turkey & Fish

I called the doctor's office seeing if they could move my appointment up as I have had all of the tests done. They told me I will have to wait until the 29th as the doctor is going to be out of town for at least a week. I had a bad experience with the Brain MRI. I don't know if it was being stuffed into that machine for about an hour or the contrast stuff they gave me but my heart was acting real fluttery and it didn't stop until after I got home and took some of my heart medication that is meant to slow down my heart rate. If it is the autoimmune disease it would be a relief in a way because I know that the treatment for it works. I did manage to go to Curves twice this week and my legs are acting better. Standing for any length of time really does me in. We had a new Joanns open in our area and they were having a great sale. I am very into sewing and quilting, mostly for chairitable projects. I spent a good twenty minutes finding what I wanted and getting the fabric cut etc. Then I had to wait another 10 minutes in line to pay. By the time I made it to my car I was hurting.

Glad you made to curves! I wonder if some better shoes/insole might help you a bit with your standing? As a waiter/server in high school, valet in college, I can attest to the difference a good pair of shoes and/or insoles makes when you're standing around a ton. Do you have comfy shoes for when you're out and about running errands?

I only wear NB tennis shoes that cost me more than $125. I even purchased a pair of dress flats from them that cost me just shy of $200. I also have additional inserts in those shoes. I don't know what else to do other than loose weight. I have never been one to wear cheap or high heeled shoes, not even when I was so called "normal" weight.

That's good. The weight will of course be one of the biggest things you can do, hands down.

I noticed a major difference between 250 and 244. I have a pair of boots that I simply cannot wear if I am 250 or above, they hurt my knees but when recently I tried them at 244 they were very comfortable and I had no knee issues at all
