| Is this correct? I wanted to see how many calories I could take in and still lose about 1 pound a week so I went to thedailyplate.com and filled out their calorie calculator. It told me I can consume 2,907 with light activity and lose 1lb a week. That seems like a lot of calories!!
Sedentary lifestyle I need 2,776 calories for a 1lb loss/week. That still seems like a lot!!
My stats are
Height 5' 6"
Weight 320 (might be less now, but was 320 when I got weighed in Oct)
Age 40
Female
Activity level is mostly Sedentary because I'm still nursing my foot wound.

I wish they'd be a little more specific on the amount of exercise that constitues that level of activity you're at. I never know which one to choose.

Activity level is mostly Sedentary because I'm still nursing my foot wound. | That is WAY off. I just ran the calculations that I run for everyone else here and I came up with 1595 calories a day to lose 2lbs a week, or 2095 calories a day to lose 1lb a week.
Hope this helps.

| Re: Is this correct? Thanks OD! It seemed WAY off to me too! I'd love to get in the 1500 calorie range. I think I will start doing that now, along with counting carbs.
