| Fight child obesity
Lets promote a a National Discussion on Obesity.
I am working with a team to raise awareness about Fatism.Fatism is weight bias ,stigma and discrimination. On Twitter I am 2fat2fly.
It is time to look into the food enviroments. Fresh produce has increased since 89 to 05 by 76.5 % . Bad foods have gone down by 26.5% ,during the same period. Is there a connection between the growth of FASTFOOD ,and our obesity crisis?
Fitness comes in all sizes ,and I want us to get off the scaling circle and get on eating well and adding some activity. I am far too busy walking and eating well to bother with any scales.

In my opinion, knowing what you weigh is important -- not only to realize the enormity of the problem (pardon the pun) but also to be able to celebrate your progress and realize your successes.
Maybe that's just me...

Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam.
Spam, spam! Spammity, spam spam!
Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam.
Again, don't mean to be a cynic or a negative nabob, but your repeated "invitations" to join you elsewhere with vague details about what exactly you are or why just comes off as spamalicious marketspeak. ("Come to my website so I can market to you!")
If you really want to contribute to the site, do so. But knock off the blatant, repetitive, "come join me" crap. It's just totally off-putting and ineffective.

90 % of people feel obesity is only about personal choice. 20 years ago the largest burger was 300 calories , now they can reach well ober 900 calories .In the 1950 's kids drank 3 glasses of milk to one glass of soda. In Quebec food advertizing to children under 13 is banned.
How has the media reported on this obesity crisis? The conferance in Dubai is called FAT TRUTH. Our group is working towards transparancy. Why is big food so eager to milk the exercise only solution? Activity rates have been the same for 10 years. Obesity rates are insane . What is paid for science? What is Frankenfood?
I am hoping people will help in the creation of a new model,in the obesity situation. I like me today and I am not a number on a scale. I am way too busy walking and eating well to bother with a scale.

Are you saying that consumption of fresh produce has increased between 1989 and 2005 by 76.5%, meanwhile consumption of "bad foods" has decreased by 26.5%, but that somehow, this shift toward fresh, healthy produce is actually an indication of increased consumption of fast food?
You seem to be claiming that increased consumption of fresh produce is somehow linked to increased obesity?
I'd also be interested as to the source of your statistics. Quote:

The cost of fruit and vegetables vs the cost of lousy food . To eat healthy is expensive ,and many Families are struggling to buy healthy food products.

Took me a second, but I get what you're saying. The cost of fruit and vegetables has risen while the cost of high-calorie fast food has decreased significantly in the last two decades. And the low cost of high-calorie, nutrionally lacking, fast food has fueled an obesity epidemic here in the States.
FWIW, if you want to communicate effectively, you're really going to want to spend a little time in composing your messages. Clarity is critical when there's really little context to work with.
Spend the time to set up your thoughts, spell them out thoroughly, provide context and sources, and people will be far more receptive to the message you're trying to convey. Spewing vague bits of triviata and partially formed / incoherent messages will get you nowhere.
(Call me cynical, but I figure if someone can't spend the time to put together a complete thought, why should I spend the time trying to read it?)

| Re: Fight child obesity Obesity Surgery Thins Bones, But Enough To Break? - CBS News
This is a story on bone density ,following obesity surgery.
Fastfood advertizing ,level of education, poverty, and our media drive to be thin. All of these contribute to our current issue of obesity. I am working on a national discussion on obesity.
When does a diet fail? Diets do not fail ,people do.
The next thing will be treadmills for infants , but we keep being guided by the food industry. We are eating way too much, and we are using sugar and salt to cope with life.

There's already a thread dedicated to the topic of bone breakage following WLS, posted just a few days ago, here.
Even if you aren't responding to the questions we've posed (great way to engage your readers, by the way) I hope you're considering the suggestions provided.
You might deal better with your own obesity if you quit blaming the media, the fast food industry, the fitness industry, big pharma, etc. for the ills of the world and start focusing on what you can do for yourself. Quote: |
When does a diet fail? Diets do not fail ,people do.
| But seriously, the vague self-help pseudo-psychobabble doesn't help or convince anyone.
I just don't understand why you're here, what your goal is, what your intentions are. Have you miraculously conquered your own weight and want to share it with the world? Are you looking for support during your own weight loss? Are you a health and fitness expert, here to preach to us unwashed masses?
Provide some background, tell us who you are, tell us why we should care about you and/or what you have to say. Because right now, I'm finding it hard to have much sympathy or patience for you.

That was actually an interesting link, though similar to the previous one. 2fat2fly, I would agree with a lot of your comments except that you can't stay on topic more than one sentence at a time! We do have a societal problem with not prioritizing health enough and it is a conflict of interest that it's in the best interest of the corporate world for us to consume exponentially forever. They don't really WANT us to be thin or healthy, just to have new problems that they can sell us cures for. But do you want to discuss that or just repeat it in different ways without ever getting into details? Please work on your presentation or don't bother to post.

He can't answer, as he's been banned from the site.
FWIW - I don't think he would have provided an answer, regardless.
