| As of tomorrow... I'm gonna start eating better and exercising.
I currently weigh about 305 and want to get back to my high school weight which was 180.
I'm going to join the gym.
I'm going to switch to water or something else other than soda.
I'm going to stop eating Ben and Jerry's
I'm going to limit my pizza consumption by 3/4
I'm going to cut down on smoking.
*add "try" to all those*
It won't be easy. |

It won't be easy. | Trying all of them at once might be a bit tough....maybe consider taking them on one at a time?
For long term health in general, obviously smoking should come first on your list I would think. Just remember when you stop smoking you may notice your appetite going up. Be careful on that.
For soda have you considered going to a diet soda once in a while to help you slowly transition away? Water is the best thing out there, so you are on the right track.
Getting rid of all that junk food will help wonders. Between that and going to the gym you should notice some huge differences!

| Re: As of tomorrow... BTDT! In 2003, I went on Atkins to lose weight before I quit smoking. So I lost 55 lbs. in 10 months! Then I quit smoking -- which was horrible.
I gained back the 55 lbs. in 4 months then continued to pack on another 30 lbs. without any problem.
So now -- It's 3 years later and I'm going to lose the weight. I do feel healthier since I quit smoking, but it did take almost an entire year to feel better.
Good luck to you. I highly recommend the patch. It wasn't easy, but it was easier with the nic patch.
