| VITAMINS?
I'm on a 1200 calorie diet and it is sometimes hard to get all the vitamins and nutrients that are recommended. I heard that while being on 1200 calories it is good to take a multivitamin, as well as some other vitamins that I can't remember, everyone seems to say something different when it comes to this... I have been taking a daily vitamin each day, but I am wondering if I should also be taking any other vitamins along with it??

Talk to your doctor! I can't stress this enough!
That being said, I take 1 multi-vitamin, 2 calcium +D tabs, 3 flax oil capsules, 1 garlic, and 1 cinnamon. The first 3 are with my doc's blessings, the last 2 I recently added myself to help boost my metabolism!
At your age, depending on how heavy your cycles are, you may even want to be taking prenatal vitamins, but ask your doctor about it. I know I was always borderline anemic because of heavy flows. Your doctor may even suggest taking 2 multi-vitamins, one in the am & one in the pm. Every one is different, so find out what YOU need. Good Luck!

I want to lose weight because I want to live the rest of my life with quality. I see very little quality ahead of me if I continue to live life as an obese person. It's my choice. I can stuff my face with food or I can stuff my life with living. |

I agree, check with your doctor.
Having said that though - a multi-vitamin can't hurt at all...

Mutli vitamin is great, I also recommend fish oil pills to anyone, period. That should keep you covered.

I also recommend Calcium with D for women. Seems we don't get enough, but I also recommend talking to your doctor. I take a multivitamin and extra Vitamin D. And Fiber supplements along with trying to pack my diet with fiber (that's what works for me!!!).

Yup! Again - on my doctor's advice...I'm also taking a daily calcium pill, omega oil complex (fish oil!) and because I'm anemic - vit. B12...
