Has anyone tried Alli? I thought about buying it tonight at Wal Mart but read on the back that you should consult a doctor before using if you have/had kidney stones. I had them in November (still haven't passed them as far as I know) so I'm a little afraid of trying it now. Let me know what you think about it. Thanks!

Well at a minimum before taking any "pills" you should consult your doctor. Do a search for Alli on our website here and you'll find a few topics on it. It's basically a low dose version of a more potent version known as Xenical, which has been around for many years. There's a book that comes along with the Alli pills and I read the book while waiting for a prescription, and I though their eating recommendations were horrible. Just my .02.
Regardless, any diet pill is not a magical cure, it's meant to enhance the results from a healthy life, which includes exercise and eating healthy, it's not a replacement for those.

Very true....You could get the runs! Bad enough that the instructions tell you to keep an extra pair of underwear with you at all times "just in case" you soil your drawers!

I have been using it and don't experience "anal leakage" Infact another girl I know has been using it for a few months and said the same thing.
The only thing you notice is when you go, it's a little "oily" and thats the excessive fat that would have stayed around and added on to your body. The Alli Pill is a great aid to STICK to your diet and not cheat. Because if you cheat, well you are gonna wanna use that restroom an awful lot I imagine.
I have been taking it along with a sensibly diet and exercise routine and have been losing more weight than just with diet/exercise alone.
I actually reccommend it to someone who has been dieting and exercising right but can't seem to lose the weight as easily.
