I don't see how it could hurt me but just checking. I need to get into the gym and learn a routine that would really help me. But have to meet with trainer or meet up with another member to do that. So the fact that I have gone 10 out of 11 days is not bad right? Just cardio each day....

If it's just cardio you're fine. I've gone 2 weeks in a row before. It is good to take days off to give your body time to heal itself a bit; you'll probably feel fresher the next day. I see nothing wrong with going 6 out of 7 days, and even encourage it if you can pull it off.

Great. I know when lifting comes into play it is not suppose to be done that many times a week. I hope to add lifting to my routine soon.

It's actually okay to lift through muscle soreness, assuming the soreness isn't 'debilitating.'

How are you going about your training?

What do you mean? Hmmm well trying to squat is a bit hard to do. But if I force myself I can do it. As far as lifting in general going to be I believe at least 3 times a week switch off arms/lower body. I could be wrong...still getting this together.

The squat is a difficult exercise for many people. It's also one of the best. I recommend squatting with body weight only and NOT increasing weight until form is perfect!

Once bad habits are learned, they are very hard to break. Many people get 'greedy' and up the weights far too soon.

If you are really uncomfortable with the free weight squat, there are plenty of alternatives such as the leg press, bulgarian split squats, split squats, lunges, etc.

It's best to learn the exercise from someone who knows what they're talking about.

That said, I've 'coached' plenty of people to execute a good squat via the web too....

3 times per week sounds about right.

If you are going to go 3x per week, I'd make each day you train a full body routine.

Also, by arms, I assume you mean upper body?

Yes arm= upper body.
I am going to start this out and hopefully see some good results soon. Now hopefully the being sore thing goes away quickly.

on the 3 times per weaking doing upper body. I think inlove needs take video of her squatting form and then post in here.

I agree on form, I can't count how many people I see pushing their knees well out in front of their toes when they squat and it scares the crap out of me!
