| Whats my BMI, and BMR
Not sure if this is in the right place or not, as I am still trying to figure out what goes where. I am 30 yrs old, 5'5, 280lbs, and male. Can anyone tell me what my BMI, an BMR is? Also with exercise, how important is it to get all of your calories in? Is cardio better than strength training, or should you mix them up? Maybe 3 days cardio, and 3 days strength training. I have also been wondering if there is a difference between a tread mill, and actual walking? Hope this is not too many questions, but right now I am full of them. |

This is the right place! I wouldn't worry about BMI, it's a worthless calculation. BMR on the other hand can help you figure out how many calories a day your body burns. If you tell me what your activity level is (how often you exercise on average each week and for how long), I can tell you exactly how many calories your body burns. From there you can tell me how many pounds a day you'd like to lose and I can tell you exactly how many calories a day (to eat) you should be shooting for!

THANKS! | Walking 6 days a week, I have your body burning about 3300 calories a day on average. If you can keep your food consumption at 2300 calories a day on average while continuing to walk, you should lose 2lbs week.
